That pretty comprehensive. I'd have to a find lighter alternative to the adjustable spanner and the mole grips. Surely they belong in a trucks tool kit ;0)

Re: Emergency patches
I think the Kate Duffus link was just what i was looking for. Thanks Mike I was carrying a roll of gaffer tape last year but it didn't take long to deteriorate. Sea water eventually got into it. I like the idea of sylglass or denso tape patches in sealed bags. I've not had experience of either. Dens...

Re: Emergency patches
Fibreglass. Usually day or weekend trips. Its just incase i (or anyone else i'm with) knocks a hole in the hull while rock hopping. Permenant repairs, i'll do when i'm back home.

Emergency patches
Whats the best conveniently packaged emergency repair material i should carry?
I'm trying to be disciplined over carrying excess weight, so i don't really want to carry a roll of tape unnecessarily?

Re: Replacement hatch covers
Your reply has prompted me look again. For some reason i couldnt see the information on their website. Ok i now see the difference. I think my Cetus has different hatch covers that may have been replaced at some time. I can see how easy it is to loose them :0) The two smaller ones seem to be lrc-ht ...

Replacement hatch covers
I need a replacement front hatch cover for my P@H Cetus. The one that i nearly lost came loose on the roof of my car. Luckily i saw it fall so i retrived it. The cord hole is now ripped but for the time being, i can still use it. It appears there are several types made by kayaksport but on their web...

Re: Toggles
Thats it! I want to be able to quickly slide the blade of my paddle under a cord if needed for a rescue or a dodgy beach landing. I have a cetus but i'm not sure if i'll fit them way up front like the picture. I saw them on a video and figured they would be useful. Sent from my LG-M200 using Tapatalk

I have looked through force4's online catologue but unless they're called something else i might have missed them.

P&H Scorpio LV
I'm selling my ScorpioLV because i have bought a new boat. I am the second owner (bought last year from a clubmember) and its been a great kayak. Its in good condition with a few mods. I have fitted a wire to the skeg as the rope was hopeless. Usual scratches underneath nothing deep. Sorry to see it...

Re: Thermal rash vests vs windproof cag
To return to this topic. Having discussed this with many people i have determined there is no one stop solution for everyone. So..with the warm weather we are having my drysuit is wayyyy to hot. My last paddle i was just wearing a cheap rash vest. My club coach suggests a storm cag over lighter ther...

Re: Thermal rash vests vs windproof cag
Thanks for the replies. So Forth Element Thermocline is like a comfy wetsuit? From their website they say it is like wearing 2mm neoprene. Very pricey and i would still need a cag to keep away windchill. Another vote for Forthelement thermocline, I use the leggings, and for my top half tend to use a...

Thermal rash vests vs windproof cag
Hi folks I'd like to hear your opinions on staying warm during summer paddling. I bought a typhoon drysuit that i have been wearing on rolling sessions and a recent sea kayak trip. Although i can stay dry after many immersions i'm pretty damp from getting too hot. The drysuit is going to be great fo...
