Lee Valley

I've seen one guy in a squirt boat there (but I don't go very often, so there may be more). He only seemed to stay on the warmup lake. Is it worth the trip with a squirt boat? Can you take a squirt boat onto the moving water, or do the patrols get you? Are any of the eddylines good enough for some d...

Perception pirouette super sport for sale

Light blue, old school fast, slicey tailed whitewater boat.

I can't tell if there is a small crack in the very end of the stern, or through the deck, but it lets in a small amount of water.

Collection from Hampshire or Watford area.

1x Downtime Hellbender, blue and white, cut for about 13 stone, size 9 feet. Pretty old, and some obvious repairs.

1x valley Bigfoot. Purple / splodges. Cut for about the same as the Hellbender. Again, old and well used.

Re: Lomo drysuit

Reiterating the above really - had one, and it failed after fewer than 15 times in the water. By failed, I mean the tape sealing fell off, and water poured in.

Was charged for the repair, and Lomo refused to accept that there might be an issue.

Now own a Dam X, and have never been drier.

Wanted - Nookie Guide Strides XL

Hi folks,

As the title really - does anyone have a pair of Nookie Guide Strides in XL for sale, please?

As long as they're not trashed, I am interested! Cheers,

Simon.

Re: Drysuit brand that last longest

Fair enough - as part of the order process, I was offered the option of providing limb circumference measurements at 10cm intervals - combined with the other measurements, this seemed to suggest that spare material would be minimised, but we will have to see. My point about the inherent bias in Mark...

Re: Drysuit brand that last longest

I am about to order a Dam X. I'm not convinced by the breathability argument, having owned goretex cags, jackets, overtrousers, etc. Breathability is nice, but not the end of the world by comparison to the volume that comes in. I'm also unconvinced that an IR sponsored paddler's confident assertion ...

Wanted: old marathon K1

Hi,

I'm after an old but serviceable marathon K1. Nothing new or fancy, but watertight. I can swap it for a sprint kayak in similar condition that is just too tippy, or buy it off you. Hopefully someone has something living in a garage unused and unloved?

Cheers.

Wanted: Marathon K1, Hampshire, or thereabouts

Hi, I'm looking for a relatively cheap marathon K1 for a bit of touring, and maybe some casual racing in. Something old but watertight would be ideal. If not, something cheap that can be put on the water with minimum work. Appearance not in the slightest bit important. I've got a sprint kayak that i...

Re: Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks folks. I did think the nose looked a little like a surf shoe I had about 1992, but as others have said, the hatches are confusing. I'd love to get it to see what it was like, but 300 quid is a bit steep. Hope whoever gets it enjoys it.

In really good condition, Bliss Stick SCUD. Hardly used, due to having other boats, and now selling due to not getting use, and needing to rationalise my collection. £400, or sensible offers. Ideally collect from Hampshire, or buyer arranges courier. Can also come to sensible delivery arrangements. ...

It seems to have taken a while, especially as elbow pads became more popular. Suppose if people aren't getting facial injuries, or seeing other people getting them, then it's not seen as a priority.
