Which Drysuit?

So in the interest of sparking some discussion (see Gone very Quiet post) and gaining some kit beta I have a question...... which drysuit should I get for WW paddling in the UK - the drysuit will primarly be used over winter as soon as the sun it out the shorty cag comes out. Current drysuit is a Ty...

Slovenia Accommodation - 2020

Hi All Thought I would tap into the collective wisdom on here. Has anyone been to the Bovec region found any accommodation that could sleep 20+ people. The 3 times I have been before the group has been <12 people so we have used apartments in Bovec. From trawling the web I think places that can cate...

Re: How many boats fit in a jumbo van?

We usually manage 5 creek boats on their side per layer.
Can usually get 3 layers in a high top.
Plus one or 2 diagonal nearest the back doors.
Plus all the kit.

I'll be there that week, so if we bump into each other mines a Clara (local term for shandy). Have a great time. Cheers for this Dougie - great info. Will be getting there on the 6th (Sat) so might just catch the tail end of the Worlds Champs / busyness. Feel free to pop down to the campsite at Sor...

Spanish Pyrenees Camping?

Hi Looking for any info people have on the best campsites to use as a boater for the Spanish Pyrenees. A few of us are heading out there early July so I am guessing the Noguera Pallaresa will be the only thing running that time of year. The campsite at Sort look good - right by the river with the sl...

Re: How do I re-proof a drysuit?

The way I have been keeping my Typhoon MS3 running perfectly for 9 years is a delicate wash in the washing machine inside and out. Let it dry completely before painting (with a brush) a good coating of Fabsil Gold all over the outside of it. With 2 or 3 coats on the socks. Keeps the water beading of...

Hi Does anyone know if there is any where in the UK you can demo the Lettmann Ergonom Pro Extrem paddles? WhiteWater Massif Central Guidebook

Hello I don't suppose anyone has any news on whether the WhiteWater Massif Central Guidebook is going to be updated this year. I heard rumors that it was in progress and wondered whether it would be out by May (when I travel over there) Amazon are charging a rather high fee (£91!?!?!?) for the curre...

Re: Reproofing Dry cag/ trousers

I have used fabsil gold on my drysuit and it works well. I washed the drysuit in the washing machine with Tech wash and then once dry painted fabsil gold over the entire drysuit. Not sure if it waterproofed it (it wasnt leaking to begin with) but water now beads off like when the drysuit was new. I ...

I had the same problem with Canyoneers, and a friend has been through a set of Canyonners and Tennies in 2 years as well. Then in late 2012 I managed to pick up a set of Palm Merrell boots and they are still mint after nearly two years of kayaking and canoeing (which usually destroys the toe box are...

Hello Our club is there now and water levels are on the low side (barring rain). Slovenia has loads of snow but appartently this melted quite fast or hasnt yet melted yet. Predel Pass - Italy to Slovenia

Hello I was hoping I could steal some of the wisdom from the forum. Our club is off to Slovenia next month and we will be heading over the Predel Pass into Slovenia. Last time I came over this route in 2009 there was a barrier I seem to remember and some Italian guards with big guns. The thing is we...
