Re: Burn, Machno, 9R???
Good question! Boat design has taken a few leaps since the Burn came out, but I do still believe it has its place, which you've covered quite well yourself in this sentence, '...surf waves, tear into an eddy or carve round an aggressive turn.' I would say the advantages of the Machno over the Burn a...

Re: Anyone tried a pyranha ozone yet?
Which quote is for which? Of course, if you pull select parts of boat descriptions, you're going to be able to argue that chalk is cheese... kayaking has a broad range of disciplines and styles, and kayak design has a heck of a lot of subtle nuances. The English language doesn't really have the dep...

Re: Worst Whitewater boat you have paddled.
Billy, you must surely go to hell for that!! I’ve been there, and it was in a rotobat. They had the dynamics of paddling a sausage, a slow sausage. I got mine out of the shed last year and took it down the Upper Dart. Compared to modern boats its dynamics are somewhat sluggish (anticipation is requ...

Re: Hey 9R paddlers...
Hey Dave, Appreciate the enthusiasm, I get the same about little niggles with products myself... having some background in engineering though, I always want to get to the root of these little things and develop a solution, that's why when I noticed the footrest attachments in our demo boats and on m...

Re: Good boat for surfing and short coastal days?
Hi All, Great to see the discussions regarding the Delphin here, just thought I'd clarify the 'Discontinued' notices some of you are seeing on the Canoe Shops Group websites - we no longer supply CSG, so they are referring to the fact that the boats are discontinued in their stores (albeit in a slig...

Re: Pyranha Fusion spraydeck size
Hey Taurus, Spraydeck size for the Fusion is Big Deck, R5 or N5 as you say, don't worry about the cockpit size not matching perfectly as there is stretch or adjustment in all decks. Alternatively pop over to our webstore ( http://www.pyranha.com/store/index.php/decks.html ) for one of our Pyranha br...

Lost: Pyranha 9R L, Upper Tees
If you love something, you should set it free - and that's exactly what I did with my 9R L on the Upper Tees yesterday. If anyone sees it, please could you drop me a message? It's the only one in Lime/Jaffa/White so if someone rocks up with a suspiciously similar, shiny(ish) new boat, they're defini...

Re: New Boats ???
Do u involve basic paddlers in ur design process. Heck yes! My name is Mat, and I'm pretty much the definition of an average boater - I'm forever in the factory asking for minor changes to our boats, not least because I look after the demo fleet amongst my many other tasks and notice more or less s...

Re: New Boats ???
We're just as much gear enthusiasts as the next person, chatting about it on forums isn't a chore ;P The order process is down to the dealers I'm afraid, if they can afford to and want to stock all the options, then great! If not, then you'll have to order it in - we'll be producing some stock to ho...

Re: New Boats ???
I do wish manufacturers would offer options of their boats more though. Funny you should say that, we've just recently released our new price list with a heavy duty hull option on most top end boats, and a lightweight hull option coming soon for things like the 9R and Jed. We also have several diff...

I demoed a 9R L the other night and was blown away - that's the sort of R&D worth paying for! Well that's just made my day, thanks Tom! I have to say I agree with the majority of comments here too, the biggest response I've seen to any of our recent advertising was the sort of thing where we're pro...

I'm afraid you've both missed something: https://facebook.com/PyranhaKayaks/posts/10153622009959547 The first thing I did when I joined Pyranha was start a huge push to represent women better on our team, I've continued that ethos through everything I've done since then. There was mention of the wom...

Hi Jaller,
It makes us really happy to see a classic P&H model like this still going strong, I don't suppose you have some photos of the boat that you wouldn't mind us sharing on the P&H Facebook Page? I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be interested in seeing this.
Kind Regards,
Mathew

Please feel free to put any of those people in touch with me directly and I'll be more than happy to discuss any issues with them and get them rectified, I'll just need a description of the problem and the boat's serial number to check it isn't a known issue that we've already fixed. Oh, and Jim's answer about choosing by colour is more or less bang on the money! However, incase you want more information than that, here's a link to a really useful interview with Dave Fusilli that highlights the difference between the Burn II and III: http://cksblog.com/2013/10/2014-pyranha-burn-...

Re: Burn 2 vs Burn 3
Everytime someone got out of one, the Burn II and III, bits of the outfiting fell out with them!!! Thanks for the feedback, I've just checked over the demo boats that were at WWPF and none of them seem to be missing anything - could you be more specific as to what was falling out? If we're made awa...
