Re: PLB protection

For the last couple of years I’ve had my plb on my right shoulder strap but more at the back rather than on my front. My logic was that I could reach over with the left hand, activate it, and stick it back in the pouch with the antenna in the best orientation likely in the circumstances ie hunched o...

Re: Stiff hands

My wife uses neoprene pogies and really likes them whereas I don’t get on quite so well with my nylon ones, especially when I’m trying to get my hands back into them. However, I really like my neoprene open palm mitts: they are great as wrist warmers with the body of the mitts pulled back, then if i...

Re: Spray deck for Necky Chatham 16?

Thanks pathbrae - I ended up getting a Playboater keyhole size which fits nicely, but the bale hole option with Reed decks looks really good.
Cheers,

Spray deck for Necky Chatham 16?

Hi, I’m looking for a new spray deck for a Necky Chatham 16 composite, just wondering if anyone might happen to know of any spray decks that are a good fit for the Chatham’s unusual cockpit which is 78cm x 36cm. Up to now I’ve been using a Lomo Rebel keyhole deck which gives a reasonable fit lengthw...

Re: VHF handset help

I had a flash and float radio but what I found was that if it got wet at anytime ie rain or waves then the flash activated and ran the battery down. I don't know about other models but with the Standard Horizon SX300 there is a custom settings menu available by holding down the Vol/Sql key at the s...

Lost red Olympus TG 820 Arisaig Sun 25 May

Hi, a long shot but just in case anyone might have found a red Olympus TG 820 waterproof camera in Arisaig/Back of Keppoch last weekend we'd love to hear from you! This is my wife's camera, unfortunately unmarked but should have pictures of a guy in a blue drysuit and orange Cetus MV (similar these ...
