Re: size size about size
What sort of creeker are you looking for sporty or forgiving?
I’m heavier than you at 14st but am 6.2 and size 13 feet. I paddle a scorch and a firecracker both large with astral hiyak shoes but can also fit in the mediums with good amount of room.

Re: Dislocated Shoulder advice
I can only reiterate what everyone else has said. Don't rush back, see a sports physio, do strengthening exercises and stay positive. I did my shoulder about 10 years ago and i'm now back paddling to the same level i was before. My only concession is a neoprene shoulder brace and for longer trips e...

Re: Dislocated Shoulder advice
Thanks Franky
I get where you are coming from, when you put it like that I suppose your right a few month is nothing in the grand scheme of things, I will do my best to find something to keep me from going mad, All I do is paddle.
I will find something to do. I’m sure.
Thanks

Re: Dislocated Shoulder advice
I think I know that move on the slalom section (Serp 1 -> Serp 2 -> Slalom -> Siphon Canyon). An unfortunate one, and probably hard to guard against as well unless in the habit of combat rolling when on shallower rivers. Not a fun situation to be in. Good luck with the recovery, and I hope it doesn...

Try these articles, see links below, Part II gives some really good rehab exercises. It is from 1991 but still relevant to shoulder rehab. https://journals.lww.com/nsca-scj/citation/1991/10000/injury_prevention__shoulder_anatomy,_biomechanics.5.aspx https://journals.lww.com/nsca-scj/citation/1991/1...

Re: Dislocated Shoulder advice
Unfortunately can’t even make that an option as I already have bad knees.chicklechives wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 4:52 pmThere's always C1 - much lower risk to shoulder but great for strength. Also a great way to improve river reading and boat handling. Even if your knees won't thank me.

Re: Dislocated Shoulder advice
Cathalferris Thank you for the advice I will try and push to see a specialist but here in the uk they like to do the minimum possible. I have no issues paying for a good sport physio. Re: Dislocated Shoulder advice
Get a good orthopaedic opinion. Find a good sports physio and do the exercises. I had a couple of dislocations, eventually with surgery over 30 years ago. Good physio and keeping exercises up, especially some good warming up exercises, and I am still paddling regularly in my 70s although now only m...

Hi all I’m in a bit a depressive state, I dislocated my left shoulder yesterday on a trip to the soca river, got it back in on the bank after about 3min. Re: PFD for short torso
I cannot stand having high riding PFDs and have tried loads on until I settled with the palm Nevis,
it is very low cut and this design has the bottom belt removed in place of a wing system that hugs the ribs meaning it fits really well and comfortable.
My other go to would be the NRS ninja.

Wanted
Hi all
I am currently looking for a dagger GT or similar for my son of anyone has one lying around, he’s nearly 9 but to big for the kids boats so needs a small adult boat.
He has been using a friends GT and it fits well with room to grow.
Thanks
