WANTED - Wavesport fuse 56
Don't suppose anyone has a Fuse 56 kicking about that they don't want? Needs to be serviceable but I'm not worried about the usual river rash - it's probably only going to be used on Newark weir anyway. Happy to consider realistic alternative brands/models, but they need to be suitable for someone w...

28mm Tubing
Anyone know where I can get a section of 28mm (outside dimension) tube suitable for making a set of splits? The shops that seem to get mentioned when this has been asked in the past only have up to 27mm with no indication of if/when they will get more stock. Alternatively, I suppose a piece of suita...

Re: For Sale: Liquid Logic Biscuit 55 - £250
I don't have the foot block I'm afraid (I bought the boat second hand without it) and the HF will be going into the boat I'm replacing it with.
I don't think £250 is an unreasonable ask given this is in good condition and I am receiving interest in it elsewhere at that price.

Hand Paddles
I've been playing about with the idea of learning how to use hand paddles - no particular reason it just seems like a fun thing to do. This will be for mucking about in playboats and gentle grade river kayaking, not squirt boating. Would the swimming training hand paddles be suitable or are there sp...

Bent My Boat!
I've recently started paddling an Axiom which I am trying to learn how to use. After recently pulling a (unintended !) vertical I seem to have managed to bend the tail of the boat. It's not an enormous amount of damage (the last 6 inches of the tail have been pushed upwards by perhaps 10 degrees) bu...

Jackson Super Star. £200
Large Jackson Super Star. Haven't got a clue how old it is but I haven't used it in two years. I'll leave the sweet cheeks and happy feet in it. There are a few scratches on it as you would expect, but surprisingly few and none deep. It's currently in St Albans (Hertfordshire) so I can bring it to L...

Tenby Area (also osted in WW/touring forum)
So I'm going to be staying in Tenby over the Crimble period (23rd-29th). I'm basically a G3 WW paddler with a bit of G4 experience and have done a bit of kayak surfing (more enthusiastic than skilled, it has to be said!) Never having been in the Tenby area before, is there any paddling to be had? By...

Paddling in the tenby Area
So I'm going to be staying in Tenby over the Crimble period (23rd-29th). I'm basically a G3 WW paddler with a bit of G4 experience (though I would not do even G3 on my own, especially on water I am unfamiliar with!). Wavesport Recon 83
Hi, Looking to move on from my Recon 83 in the hornet (black/green) colour scheme. It's well used with plenty of scratches and even a small dent in it but no repairs and is still an absolutely solid boat. I can have it a Lee Valley on Wednesdays if you want to view/have a play in it or I can probabl...

Coaching required - slightly odd circumstances
Hi, I am severely in need of some coaching to help me get out of some bad habits I have picked up over the years and to improve my overall skill levels. I am more than happy to pay for one-on-one coaching sessions. However, due to my work schedule I can currently only paddle at Lee Valley (Legacy co...

Here's the raw Gopro footage I captured - sorry but the camera wasn't rolling for that excellent rescue you carried out. I've cut sections with nothing much happening, so it's a bit choppy. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=FF38648D0D500B6E!680&authkey=!AF-oRuoObIEsis0&ithint=video%2cmp4...

Re: Locking Paddles in Van?
Bolt/weld a lockable steel cabinet to the floor. Given you've got alarms going off on the van when someone breaks in it doesn't have to be so solid as to be able to completely stop a thief (won't happen if they are really determined) just slow them enough to scare them away because of the noise/ligh...

Colin, Thanks for the prompt reply and the info - good to know. So long as the boats are alright I'll probably bring my own kit over with me (haven't decided about the paddles yet!). I have looked at the drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports - seems to be about the same either way so I'll pro...

Re: Sit on top kayaking
David, I'm based locally to you (Raglan) and absolutely agree with Peter's comments above. Join one or two local clubs - this will ensure you are paddling in safe (and legal!) areas and will also be able to get instruction in proper techniques. The additional benefit of being able to try out other p...

Hi, In a couple of weeks I'm going to be decanting to Saudi for work for a few months (just in time to miss the winter paddling in the UK :-( )Clearly I'm not going to have access to any white water in Saudi itself, so it looks like the Wadi Adventure site in Dubai is my only realistic option. There...

Re: Suggestions for summer whitewater action
some surfing. Mill falls is fun, want to try that again. Please be aware that most (all?) of the Usk is subject to access agreements which prohibit paddling over the summer months except when the river is in spate. I don't want to get into the debate here about who has what rights on what bits of r...
