Re: Roof bars. Have you checked yours?

They can demand it all they like. Without a court order they can only ask. To be honest I'm the sort of person who, if at fault, will hold my hands up. Hell insurance might be cheaper if everyone was honest and didn't straight about these things.

Brathay pool near Ambleside maybe? Not exactly near though. There's a ww sup Facebook group created by Dave Hipwell who's local to that area. Maybe worth asking on there

He then proceeded to tell me that as they weren't manufacturer supplied parts to the car, they needed to know about them [...] So are they defining a "car part" as anything the car contains? Re: Roof bars. Have you checked yours?

Yeah, thanks here too. Thought it was nonsense too, but Professor Google tells me I'm wrong. Thats a job I need to do at lunchtime. Well thanks for the heads up. Rang my insurance and yes it's a modification. Bizarre. Did they charge you any extra for the update to your records? No didn't charge me...

Re: Roof bars. Have you checked yours?

On a separate note, how many people realise that they need to tell their insurance company that they use roof bars because they are classed as a modification? If you have an accident and the other party takes photos and your car has roof bars on and you haven't told the insurance company, your insu...

Just to balance that out we did the same stretch on Saturday. Saw two people fishing together who gave us no bother but we didn't engage with them at all.

Wwsr 28th & 29th April

I'm booked on a course with Kelvin Horner of sweet skills coaching. Few people have dropped out so could do with a couple more to make it run. £140 for the weekend. Running in the Tees. If anyone is interested give me a shout and I'll pass on details. Cheers Jamie Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Ta...

First step for me would be removing all wood work and making that good.

Then I'd stick some airbags in and a seat and go for it.

Saw this the other day, must've been pretty scary to be very close. Stayed there for a week last summer and regretted not taking the kayak.

Typhoon are good and I've never heard anything negative about them. Look around for second hand bargains. Steer clear of cheaper ones like lomo

Drysuit all the way. Borrowed or bought doesn't matter but unless it's in summer you'll need it. Even then I'd wear a drysuit if I'm expecting to swim a lot

I can only second the above. Paddled with someone yesterday who'd had his 18 months and it leaked. He'd just got it back from lomo after repairs and it still leaked. Apparently the glue on the taped seems doesn't like sweat. I've a Typhoon which is brilliant and to make it better their repair servic...

If you're sure it's a leak get onto Typhoon. They've got great customer service in my experience.

Check out your local clubs. If you've had a roll before likely just need a bit of pool time to refresh yourself.

I'd suggest picking up a second hand multisport if possible. They're really good and the customer service is great. Probably pick one up second hand for the price of a new lomo one.

I've a Typhoon multisport 4. I've seen nothing negative about Typhoon. I've only had one issue with my suit in three years now, the feet leaked. Looked online and wasn't surprised to find out they aren't on the warranty. Contacted typhoon for advice and they said pop it in the post and we'll repair ...

I'd go for the venture personally. I think that's a cheap price. Look out for a dagger approach or blackwater. Sometimes pop up for £250ish

Re: My skeg sends me in circles, any expalanations

An approach 9 is a fairly short boat. I'd say it's likely to do with your paddling technique that's causing you to go in circles.

Best bet is to get some proper coaching either paid, people on here or a local club.
