Re: Quastion on current access problems, North Wales?

Negotiations with the access agreement on the Dee are going well. We are reaching the final stages of the agreement now which will enable more paddling and also use for commercial river operators on payment of fees. We are also organising tours and events. Mike Dalton and Pete Carol of Pro Adventur...

Re: New "River Access For All" campaign launched.

A small group of paddlers have started this ball rolling by creating River Access For All Ltd (a company limited by guarantee) and http://www.riveraccessforall.co.uk. With the support of committed paddlers (and swimmers etc) we can start to create the effective campaign that is currently lacking. O...

Re: First out the mould

Are there any advantages/disadvantages in having one of the very first boats out of a mould? Probably best to have a relatively early one before the mould gets worn. Then again if you have the first and they break the mould you may have something worth more that just you average boat. Hence they sa...

Re: New "River Access For All" campaign launched.

I know - an awkward issue - but I'm thinking ahead to someone trying to discredit the campaign at a crucial moment - and trying to make sure that awkward people like me don't get put off by shaky statistics. In my view you gain overall by being ahead in regard to such issues even given the short te...

Re: What the BCU told Sport England about access...

I think its time to give up on what the BCU can do for us in term of getting access to rivers. Far too many well paid jobs going to stick their neck out. GUTLESS is the term that come to mind. Apparently, according to his BCU profile Paul Owen CEO, once ran a four minute mile, I wonder if he was run...

Great Job Guys. I will be sending you what I was about to send the BCU for membership for starters. My days with the BCU are over. How much money could you do with annually to run as you want? How would you spend it? It may be worth approaching some of the canoe manufacturers and trade for sponsorsh...

So no link between river access, boats stolen, cars damaged, rocks thrown and tyre slashing then? Come on North Wales Sherlocks, do the job your paid for, before this escalates any further and somebody gets hurt or killed.

Ok, let's have a competition for the best photo or video of a fisherman taking a photo of a paddler and visa versa. It can be a kind of mutual admiration society. You may never know, we may even find love?
