Re: Price of Kayaks?
It's price fixing, Nothing illegal, it's not organised but it's mutually beneficial if neither side lowers their prices so neither do it. It might make sense for them to lower prices as they'd start competing on price with used boats and increase sales but it could also blow up in their face and the...

Re: Quastion on current access problems, North Wales?
Dee have been in used since Roman times (and before). Lots of evidence of use even throughout the varied parts of it. Then it shouldn't be a problem to get a long use permit, this is to compliment the PRoN, not replace it. If this was obtained it would have a stronger case than the PRoN and that ca...

Re: Quastion on current access problems, North Wales?
http://www.anglinglaw.co.uk/2---navigation.html In section 3.2 c it states a right of access can be obtained by 20 years continuous use, Has this ever been used to get access rights to a river? never heard of that myself. The legislation is here: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Will4/2-3/71/sec...

Re: Stolen Kayaks in North Wales
you could cut it through the cockpit rim in a place where it wouldn't let water in, It would be hard to change or get rid of and wouldn't cost much if any more.

Anyone ever heard this? “An unjust law is itself a species of violence. Arrest for its breach is more so. Re: First river boat
I have never been in an Inazone. If I am remembering the Z.one right it's kind of got volume at front with a slicy back end and a planing hull. The Loki probably looks more like an Inazone - albeit more playful. I have recently acquired an Axiom and really like it. It's fast, good for river running...

Re: First river boat
You would probably get more response in the Inland section. I think the Z.one is a playful river runner, so would be fine. It all depends on what you want to do on whitewater I suppose. The best advice is to demo a few boats from either a shop or local club. This will help you get a feel for what y...

Re: Over reaction to Clapham Beck video
Personally I think if it is an established kayak run which has become blocked then it is ok to clear it, Photographers are not losing anything and most runs will end up blocked at some point.
I don't think we should be destroying the landscape for others.

Re: Over reaction to Clapham Beck video
It's pretty simple IMO: Removing / pruning a living tree not on your land = irresponsible. Removing dead wood from anywhere = do what you like. It's dead. It will only decompose anyway. Removing and taking away dead wood from someone else's land might be an issue if they want it for firewood, but J...

Not that I sympathies with them but you probably shouldn't of included cutting up the tree.

First river boat
Hi, I've been kayaking for a few months now and I've realized my current kayak (80s Scott Ramage polo kayak) is unsuitable for river use. I'm looking for a replacement, it needs to be usable in whitewater as well as flat water. I was thinking of the Pyranah Z.One, is it good? My budget is up to £380...
