Re: Kingpin 6.4 FS pickup west london
Ebay auction ends tonight. This could be a bargain! The boat's got lot's of life in it. If I had the space to store it I'd definitely be keeping it.

I have a kingpin 6.3. It's not very old school but definitely cartwheel-able.

Re: Kingpin 6.4 FS pickup west london
This is on ebay now here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dagger-Kingpi ... 500wt_1204
I really need to get rid of this boat as I will soon have nowhere to store it so I'll probably take any reasonable offer.

Kingpin 6.4 FS pickup west london
Hi, all I have a green kingpin 6.4 for sale. It's one of the older ones I bought it second hand a couple of years ago. It's got some scrapes and scratches but nothing disastrous. I'm in shepherds bush and I don't have a car so I can't deliver sorry. Make me an offer. I'll get pics up as soon as I can.

Moving to London, any advice?
I'm moving next month to somewhere around Shepherds Bush/Hammersmith, haven't quite got the location sorted yet. I'm interested in joining a local club to meet some boaters so I'd be interested in hearing any recommendations. I've also got to find somewhere to keep my boats so a club with a boat sto...

That was pretty good. I'm not normally a fan of HPP videos.
I liked the water level footage. Was that just a camera taped to a paddle?

Re: Uganda
I would say the guiding is totally worth it. KTN were fantastic and really set us up. If you don't know where you're going it is really important to know the channels of the river and for that alone you'll need advice. They also gave us coaching which was really helpful and organised airport shuttle...

Re: Uganda
We just got back. The only issue is the Dam. General opinion among the guides seemed to be that silver back will be closed to paddlers pretty soon. There's not much you can do about that though and there's still plenty to paddle. I spent about £400 + £200 for three days guiding with NRE we stayed at...

Uganda Night time temp.
Hi could anyone tell me what the temperature is at night in Uganda? We're going to be there next month and I'm trying to decide what sleeping bag to take.
Thanks

I've duct taped my paddle to the boat before. Once they asked me to put it through separately but I've never paid extra for it.

yeah untll it comes untied and you don't notice. Or you're in a different boat and forget it's not attached.

Re: Loose those drain bung woes
There is no way to tie the drainbung on, so you'll lose it easily ... but it is of course easy to replace, so an endlessly recurring vicious loop ensues ... I've always thought that it's better not to have them tied on. If you get into the habit of holding onto the bung or sticking it in your BA th...

Re: The Dream Result premiere in London.
Seems crazy to hold a kayak film event in London.
Why not choose somewhere with some decent paddling options? That way people might be more inclined to travel to see it.

I dont hear of loads of people raving about the Karnali like they do the Burn, maybe thats because they are a lot newer to the market than the Burn but im seriously thinking about getting a burn. I was thinking of the medium but im wondering if this is going to be the right size for me, im currentl...

Starting the year off on Skye where we may or may not get paddling but we'll certainly have fun. Hopefully moving back to Scotland in march. Then a summer trip to New York State! It's going to be a good year! I hear there is some good paddling in NY state. Banzer and I did a bit of paddling with De...

Re: Conwy Falls Incident
Is it just me or is this Conway Rambler being quite reasonable and a few guy from the boards are being a little arsey with him. I think this was the problem I met a few anglers the other day below the Conwy Falls and they were quite concerned at the fact that there no agreement with them on canoein...

I've cut a block of foam in a trapezium sort of shape. Just wedged it in the front. It'l probably come out if I swam but my kingpins not really getting used on anything hardcore.

Re: In 15 years of boating I have never needed to do a Z-Drag...
As a compromise, how about one pulley already attached a sling in the pocket, so you can set-up a c-drag in seconds? I've personally never experienced a situation in which a z-drag succeeded where a c-drag has failed. And if the situation was an emergency I'd go for the quickest possible solution. ...
