Re: River Tees - Over Dinsdale to Yarm

Paddled this last Sunday (27th July). River was low but passable and a pleasant touring trip was had. If you are doing this with inexperienced paddlers I would only advise that they may find it a bit long. There were quite a few fisherman about and they were all fine apart from the usual Mr Grumpy.....

Hi

I live near Sunderland and I am in Roker Canoe Club. Members of our club have some of the boats that you mention and would be more than happy to let you try them and also give some advice. If you are interested pm me and we can sort something out.

Cheers.....

Re: Beginner looking to buy first boat.

If you want to try a few different boats a local club is your best bet. You can get good advice on what might be suitable for local rivers etc.

I am a member of Roker Canoe Club based in Sunderland - if you make contact with us via the club website we would be more than happy to help.

Wanted: Canoe - Prospector or similar in North East

I am looking for a canoe. Something along the lines of a Prospector (Nova Craft, Venture etc.) or Charles River, but will consider anything.

I am based in Sunderland and prepared to travel around 100 miles or so.
