Dart Parking Charge

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone please clear up some confusion for me. How much does it cost to park at the county park for a day when kayaking the loop. I know last time I went it was £10 for a minibus for the day but I heard stories that it was £60 per day now.

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Who needs to launch new boats?

Bring out a K2 Burn. It would be very popular with clubs and specially adapted boats for people with special needs. And would be much more cost efficient that buying in from overseas.

Re: Kayaks for Kids

I would suggest trying out a little hero from Jacksons. Its a very good boat for building confidence on moving water as it has a very forgiving boat design. The problem that most people have when they start river kayaking is that they use a boat with a low volume stern. This boat design is very prom...

Re: Group shelters

Dont bother with ones that have a window on them.. they steam up quickly making them useless. Also they add weight and bulk to the design.

Re: BCU LR & CR Forms

Now I am in no way wanting to open up the can of worms that is OLD VS NEW, but wanted to just input into this topic. I was once an outsider to the whole system of the BCU during its transition to UKCC. I became a Canoeing Ireland (once known as the ICU) Level 3 Whitewater Kayaking Instructor about 7...

Re: BCU BRINGS BACK OLD AWARDS

Perhaps the easiest solution for everyone is to reduce the cost of training and awards. I know, crazy, but think about it. Almost half of the comments here are about costs to volunteers. if the BCU(any home nation) would like more volunteers to get into coaching then why don't they push for greater ...

Re: Strongest Airbags

Club has about 100 boats that require airbags, maybe more. given that you need at least 2, some more, then the cost value alone would be out of question. 100 boats X 2 airbags each X £10.99 per bag = £2198. I know my club dosnt have that to spend on airbags, especially if we get the wrong ones that ...

Strongest Airbags

Hi Everyone, just wanted to start a discussion about which airbags would stand the test of time in a club environment. What are people thoughts on club airbags? In the past I have found they don't stand up well to club boats as they get pulled out and switched from boat to boat. Has anyone else foun...
