Re: Advice on uneven surface of my composite kayak

Sounds like the bulkheads were glassed in with a mix too hot, causing the boat to warp under the heat, if there isn't enough space around the edges of the bulkheads then it will show on the outside of the boat. I didn't think anyone was still using resin to fix bulkheads, more likely to be a flexib...

Re: lidl ceiling bike storage

Just don't attach the hooks on to the handles, Sea kayak handles aren't actually designed to hold the weight of the boat for a prolonged period of time, maybe make up some sort of sling to distribute the weight.

Kayaking watches?

It's my birthday coming up next month and i'm thinking of buying myself a watch. it'll be used for playboating, surfing, sea kayaking and canadian canoeing. As well as possibly being forgot about when i'm at work (a rather messy environment). I don't want something super cheap and disposable, someth...

Re: Argument for a bright helmet.

We talk about this a lot at work, in relation to sea kayaks, we think the lime/light green is great. If you stand on a beach and watch a bunch of kayakers disappear into the distance, the light green will show up much longer, when other kayaker disappear into fog, light green stays visible. Now, lo...

A waterproof camera for a dizzy sister.

Hi guys, I have been asked to source a waterproof camera for my ditz of a sister. I'm not sure why she wants one, maybe she wished to take pictures from the inside of her alcoholic beverage? Anyway, It needs to be fully waterproof, around the £100 to £150 mark, It also needs to be a maximum of 2cm t...

i tried one of these for the first time on flatwater a few weeks ago, with me in the back and Pez at the front, we could build up some speed, scull and roll. Someone should really build one with a less brick like shape, as said before a duo playboat, maybe without the price tag of a jackson...

Re: Similarity between P&H Scorpio and Cetus?

What i meant was that the boat is designed for the same purposes. However, Given the adjustments that have to be made to the boat shape due to the different molding processes paired together with the way a plastic vs a composite boat paddles, the difference becomes quite big. The ways or reasons a p...

Re: Similarity between P&H Scorpio and Cetus?

The P&H Cetus is the composite version of the plastic Scorpio. They are much the same boat, but the differences come from the fact a plastic boat paddles differently to a composite boat. Hope this helps.
