It has the marks you would expect from that amount of use. It will come complete with front and rear air bags. Its fast on the wate...

Re: Getting ones MOJO back!

Thught I would use this post to say hello again. It seemed the right place. I was paddling about 14 months ago and had been for a few years. Did some good grade 4 rivers in the UK the East Lyn, Upper Dart etc, and also some good stuff in France and Italy, Lower Guizane, Gyronde, etc. I had a bad spi...

Having sampled the bar and Caf'e I can recommend them, and if you visit the website you will see that the accomodation is first class as well. R/Stuff Kineteic Lost on Germinasca.

Hi all, Long shot I know but if anyone was to find a set of Rough Stuff Kinetic paddles On the Germanasca in Italy, they will more than likely be mine. They are 197 in lengh cranked with a blue shaft and yellow plastic sleeves over the cranks. Split open a Sweet Strutter in the same incident, we all...

Re: Martin Salter MP

It would appear that most MP's are on the fiddle with expenses claims anyway so who gives a toss what they think or say at the moment. This may come as a surprise, but they are mostly obviously corrupt and dishonest in their own dealings so why should we think they would be any different in there de...

Re: Descent of coway falls

At the risk of making myself unpopular, none of the rapids in that video were styled! I don't know these guys, but with the greatest of respect, maybe they should calm down a little? What a Knob, I have paddled with Mark for years now and seen many other paddlers on the river in that time. I can ea...

Re: How fast do you paddle a new river?

Surely it just depends on the river being paddled. Some rivers offer good views ahead and can be flown down. Others are nasty with poor views and its just luck not judgement if you get down ok without inspecting.

I prefer reading and running myself where possible. makes for a more fluent run.

Hi Rhi,

Get in touch when you are moving down. We have got a very active paddling group here some from the local club others that just join in but we meet and paddle most of the year round. Regular trips into Wales or down to Devon.

Ray.

[/quote]Imagine this. A landowner kindly lets us walk through, say, their field to gain access to a river. It's not a public right of way, and never has been. If they charged a fee to use that path, would that come under your heading of 'services' that also includes parking, changing, etc? I'm not b...

Re: an idea to meet landowners half way

What a load of cobblers, start to pay some, and all will want it. Before you know it a license fee will be applied and the Govt will be in on the act.

Plus we are then leaving ourselves open to the option of being told that the site is not available at certain times of the year.

Powdermills Bunkhouse is good. Lots of character (very old) and not to expensive. About a 20 min walk to the pub if you want to eat out or cook in. About 8 mies from Princetown.
