FS - Esquif Taureau OC1
My partner is selling his Esquif Taureau - not that there is anything wrong with it he just isn't using it often enough to warrant it as his 4th boat!!!! Specs as follows http://www.esquif.com/en/whitewater/taureau/ It is outfitted with a saddle etc - photos available on request. The seal around the...

Hi there A young (ish - 17) lad I know has had numerous bowel and bladder surgeries which has left him with "buttons" I think is the technical term. The initial button was quite proud of his skin. My mother is a keen sewer and made him a little pad and belt to go over it so it didn't catch on his sp...

Re: Bicep tendinosis and kayaking
I picked this up about a year or so ago.... Unfortunately we never got to the bottom of the cause as I do more upper body things than just kayaking. However the treatment the same as any tendonitis - ice ice baby!! Also lay off the repetitive activity that is causing the issue in the first place! Ta...

Cannot echo the above post more!!!! You won't tell if you're "form" is correct or not unless you have someone else watching. Pilates is great as is yoga - try a class they're actually pretty hard core. Also running believe it or not - your abs/core help you lift your knees. Front crawl in the pool i...

Can you wear the snowboarding helmets for kayaking?
Been advised the new snowboarding ones are different and if you have an accident abroad you aren't insured.
Can't see how that is the case but nevermind

See carrying it as an extra work out - defo required as general boating does not raise the heart rate anywhere near enough to really be counted as cardio!!! :)

Hi Ali!!! There is a really nice peaceful park in Briancon. It is in off the roundabout that leads up to the Old Town. Also I have really fond memories of playing at Embrum lake! Which is good for Durance runs. There's a cafe and children's play area there. Also there is a park next to the Argentier...

Claimed for a large creeker with a split (2 years old) through impact and a lost paddle in Slovenia. No quibbles.
(We did say the split was from a grade 2 rather than the grade 4 it was actually on - just in case)

Hey!
Went for a little playboating trip last year!! Releases every day around 10 ish for the upper sections and at about 1 ish the water reaches the lower sections.
We were there in July - it was hot the beer was cold and the river turned on as if by magic every day!

Thats like scoffing at Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce vs Usain Bolt!!!!!!!!! They're the same age both the fastest in their gender yet street lengths apart. Lancs - lots of creeking however you would need to be there about now! Or fall on freak storm - I went in August. It was 30 degrees and very very sunny so less creeking more playing.

Hey! I went for 10 days playboating and cerveza last summer. There is white water at about Grade 1-3 but when we were there it had rained so the Grade 3 section was scattered with massive hole which handed out some alps worthy beatdowns. The town has a great play hole above the bridge and a slalom c...
