FOUND - Aguille Canoe Block

Found an Aguille canoe block on the m65 between the m61 and Belmont junctions.

Message me if you think it's you and tell me you can't tie knots, then I'll consider getting it back to you.

Re: J-stroke vs Stern rudder

I never use the J-stroke, only the goon/power pry stroke. I've no issues in any environment, I think it's easier.. :)

Hi Rory

Any chance of a few more photos of the Zet, just the hull in general would be fine and one of the outfitting?

Thanks

As far as I know, the 2 star is still done in both blades and is a requirement for Level 1.

Maybe some things are changing a little, if you have the time apply for APL, I've a friend who has ALP'd to 5 star training (skipping 4 star).

You'd be surprised, but my mentor when I did level 2 was another level 2 trainee, it wasn't 'ideal' but it doesn't say it can't be!

I open the relief zip slightly on mine, crouch, zip it up and then stand. Works pretty well.

I have raised mine on the Raptor, using a dagger seat pad, and some cord under the plastic below the seat.

I believe that the Troutbeck one has been there a while, there are some very low trees on the last rapid too, just need pruning.

Re: BCU ukcc level 3 vs ukcc level 2 with MWE

Because Level 3 and 5 star are two very different awards, MWE has the same environmental remit as Level 3, not AWE. But a Level 3 with 5* can go on to do AWE.

Re: Attitudes towards solo kayaking

Daz Clarkson-King solo'ed something over Everest way didn't he?

I've done it, makes the runs that i've made feel mundane by having countless descents of more exiting. The Leven is a prime example of this. I do find it super exciting but not for everyday use.

Lost Werner Sho-guns on the Ogwen.

Hey hey, I lost my Werner Shoguns on the Ogwen today after a swim on the Gunbarrel, couldn't see them at all afterwards. They have a GoPro mount on, a monster sticker and duct tape covering up resin repairs. They also have my name and number on which is 'Christopher Jackson' and my number is 07530 2...

Lost: Throwbag on the Leven

Hey guys/girls

Lost my throwbag on the Leven somewhere below Backbarrow Bridge on 23rd November, it's a blue and yellow Palm bag (very faded blue, 15m long) with my name 'Chris Jackson' written on it.

If you see it give me a shout.

Tara!

Providing you have something to post produce the footage with afterwards its good, needs a bit of sharpening and more colour added. But after that it is epic.
