M pro right 2.75 needed
Hi folks. Meha Boost..I Lost a right side fin at porth Towan. I don't suppose anyone has a spare around before I have to get a full set.
Alternatively a set of 3" would do if you have any you want rid of.
Thanks.

Back rest/block
Could you post a pic of your back rest block if you use one please. I have a Boost with a rachet system which could potentially damage the cockpit so I'm looking at alternative set ups.
Also suggestions of where to get cost effective closed cell foam would be useful.
Thanks

Re: Waveski/surf kayak advice
My personal journey was from ww paddling into surf kayak. The move is easy & the benefits are huge. Use kayaks holiday their value so perhaps avoid top end performance for a season then if you like it trade up. My budget was limited so I went Mega Neutron then to Mega Boost over a few seasons. My li...

Re: Neutron RV For Sale
I'm reviving this post as I've fallen in love with my Mega Boost. Price is now £400 as this seems more reasonable & nearer to current second hand prices. I am in Devon for the rest of the day today. (weds 12th Oct 16) so if you act fast you could be surfing it this evening. After that I will be in t...

I've upgraded so who would like my Mega Neutron RV Superlite carbon Kevlar. Owned from new. I get to paddle about 10 - 15 days a year at an intermediate level so the boat is used but not hammered. Some gelcoat repairs but nothing deep. I went belt n braces & epoxyed first hence colour doesn't fully ...

Re: beaches in devon
I have an annual pilgrimage to Croyde, Devon in October. We rent a chalet at Ruda holiday park (the posh side of the road) between 6 of us for a long weekend & its a barging off season but they also have statics, not as flash but a little cheaper. We have Croyde, Putsborough & Saunton on hand. Saunt...

Re: What do you do if your mate is swimming?
Plenty of buoyancy in the kayak really helps when Your swimmer has a good chance of using the boat as a board & surfing in. I would then shadow a safe distance to one side if they want me there & in case I'm needed. & I know this is debated a lot but wearing a buoyancy aid/impact vest makes a huge d...

I use surf wax. I thinks its warm water wax which stays firmer. Alternitavely a candle is dirt cheap & doesn't get sticky but is grippy.

Re: shipping kayaks to NZ
You could try asking Malcolm at Mega? They've just shipped a boat out there... Shipped my surf boat last year as I found, too late, BA. Now have a length limit. £300 ish & several weeks. Didn't manage to sell it out there so £400 ish to get it back. Check NZ trademe, you should find something on th...

I went easyjet (i think) plastic neutron, so heavy, as sposts luggage. Wrapped in an old windsurfer sail. Not expensive. Straps & pipe lagging roof rack on a tiny hire car & all was good.

Re: Moving Mega Neutron Seat
Just been to mega & had the se discussion with Malcolm, mine is RV super light. So next one up from grp. The seat is part of the rigidity & is needed. Foam seat comes in with the xtec construction which integrally stiffer. Stick a camara in the gap between seat & sidewall, facing upwards & click. If...

You're obviously right about flexi wetsuits, particularly open water swimming suits. Cag info from various posts as promised. Reed cag deck with their neo sea kayak deck attached, or if I'm wearing seperates I use a L Nookie surfskirt. Never had a problem with either on every type of Mega boat I can...

Re: Cagdeck combination
Lots of discussion, thanks. Really cold weather I head for the dry suit. Lots of movement but obviously a little more drag if having to punch through stuff. I'm certainly wanting a joined cagdeck & want to get more freedom of movement so I may head for the reed option. Denzil- picked up on your link...
