Re: "OLD SKOOL IS KOOL" THE BEST BOATS
I had a foreplay at the same hight and weigh, couldn't sit in it for more than 45 minutes. And even neoprene socks made things worse for my size 10s. That said it was a fun boat, I swapped mine for a ws big easy, best decision ever. Found it just as fast and playful with a hell of a lot more foot ro...

Re: Paddle grip v broken thumb
Oh pretty smashed, I've tried to ignore most of the technical jargon, in the initial x-rays the main part of the metacarpal was a long way from where it should connect to the hand and in a few parts around the base, (apparently the few bits around the base is the big problem). They've said its never...

Paddle grip v broken thumb
Having recently had surgery to reset my thumb after injury during a rugby match my thoughts have turned to recovery rehabilitation and getting back into sports. While I've read about people who get back to all sorts of activities following a thumb injury I've not found anyone who has kayaked after, ...

Re: What car for a paddling vehicle?
If you intend to keep the van and save money you are probably on the wrong track to begin with. I looked into running two vehicles and decided annual costs greatly outweighed any potential fuel saving

FS Roof Rack, Vaxhall Vectra hatchback
If any one can collect, I have a roof rack to fit a vectra hatch sat in the shed taking up room. The bars are not in the best condition but the feet are good. Comes with uprights if you want them or not. Don't think it would be possible to remove them. Anyway yours for 15 squid Newport South Wales

Re: Is £200 a good price for a wavesport BIG EZ
The add is a bit weird I grant you but I think the price is spot on. I sold a battered ex demo one about 6 years ago for 190. Imo if you're between 13 - 15 stone you should seriously consider it, a lovely old school boat with lots of foot room. Comfortable for a proper river trip, I only sold mine b...

FS pyranha burn L, £95.
I have a broken burn for sale, 1 repair under the seat and another crack that needs repairing. Back rest is missing. But it could make a useful boat for a larger paddler looking to start out or for pool sessions ect. Based by Newport south Wales

Scotland and the drive up, conditions please
Planning on heading up to Scotland on Friday from South Wales. Can anyone let me know what the roads are like on the way to fort William. Also keen to know conditions and river levels around fort bill. Already planning on walking boots with the odd day skiing but is there the potential of any water?

Just a bump. I've had a good year meeting up with people from all over to paddle local & more far flung rivers. I had my first run on the upper dart & led (I know i said I don't lead) much of Birmingham Uni's Scotland trip (how & why I'm not sure). Thing is every trip I do is costing me a huge amoun...

Re: RIVER KENT (Sprint Confluence to Force Falls)
I'll keep this short & sweet, will this river have enough water in it on Tuesday (19/04/2011) to brake up my drive to Scotland or should I just have an extra hour in bed?
