Re: British Canoeing and EDF?

Yeah the fact they have provided our data to 3rd parties is poor, however, the thrust of my post was a separate matter. I have now posted it in a variety of separate forums and been very surprised at the lack of interest to the extent I am thinking, maybe it is just me?!? In a nutshell, what I am st...

British Canoeing and EDF?

Anyone else had an email from British Canoeing about discounts for members? What do people think of the offer of putting business in the direction of EDF? I know they do not currently operate hydro schemes in the UK, but the following means it does not sit quite right with me: http://www.edfenergy.c...

Lost Dagger Mamba on River Etive on 31/12/14

Lost an orange and yellow dagger mamba on the River Etive on New Years eve. It was last seen in a recirculating eddy on river right after the bridge below Dalness Falls. Went to have a look today in the hope it had beached there after the water had dropped. No such luck and ran out of time to scout ...

FS - Palm Sidewinder LS Cag - Medium - Blue

Palm Sidewinder LS Cag in Medium. Good condition but needs a new neck seal (£39 all in from Rubberman) as perished in garage. Not worn much as slightly too big for me and I got a drysuit shortly after buying it. Palm lettering peeling away on sleeve (see photos) but does not affect water-tightness! ...

LOST ON RIVER DOCHART - Liquid Logic Jefe, Werners x2, GoPr

I’m posting this on behalf of some friends who are up in Scotland at the moment. They were paddling on the River Dochart today (30/12/13) and swam just below the bridge at the Falls of Dochart. Subsequently, they have lost two sets of paddles and a boat. Boat: Orange Liquid Logic Jefe . The boat had...

Re: Another East Lyn Pin

I think that removing a tree doesn't alter the natural flow of the river, whereas adding rocks does. Another aspect of this that doesn't quite sit right is that when a river is under threat of man made alterations, paddlers often use the standpoint that it is a natural habitat that should not be int...

It was on in its entirety at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival last week. I thought it was well put together and refreshing to see something focused on technical rapids as opposed to big drops! Certainly made me want to visit NZ! And yes, there are a couple of horrendous moments in there!!!!

Re: Girls getting ideas?

I am sure they weren't littering... It's hard to go put the empty can in the bin, when ya beer's leaking out ya bootie. They will have cleaned up afterwards. They are women after all :) Yeah I guess so. Probably going a little off the original topic - but whether you clean up or not, if they are go...

Re: Girls getting ideas?

I just hope they picked that can up after doing the swim beer! Littering is not cool! Seen this a few times in various videos... not good! I assume they do not litter and did take the can home - does little for a positive image though, whoever you are.

FS: Medium Palm Sidewinder Dry Cag

Medium Palm Sidewinder Cag in Pale Blue for sale. Very good condition. Only really used a few times. Neck seal has split so would need a new seal from Rubberman (£36).

Around £80 if I get it fixed, or £50 as is?

Thanks,

John

Hey guys, Just to ask people to keep their eyes peeled - we lost a set of red, fibreglass, cranked Werner Powerhouse paddles on the Briancon Gorge today. Playboat: Riot Air 45

Hi There, Selling my Riot Air 45 as I do not get out in it enough and need the space. It is in excellent condition having only ever been used in a pool or at HPP. No splits, welds or deep scratches. I'm looking for around £200 for it. Regularly up at HPP or could deliver at cost. Many thanks, John
