Re: Companies that rock
Two companies that have really helped me out and delivered fine service recently are Kayaks North West where more than happy to change on size cag for another free of charge despite being posted to Kent! Secondly, Pelicase who are going to replace my 1200 after four years use due to broken buckles, ...

Heading out to Austria next week, quite like the look of this run but I was wondering what water levels you need? Is it strictly an early season run or will it be extremely high early July?

Re: Best deck for a Shiva
I have used a Seals deck on my Shiva for the past year and it has been excellent, highly recomended. Always a bit of water but then again, just as likely to be from my shoe than the anything else!

Impressive Video of the Caucasus
https://vimeo.com/45362422 Not sure if this has been posted but just spotted it on the Pyranha website. Very well filmed and some terryifying rapids, I wish I was as calm as these paddlers under pressure! Having paddled in Georgia, this vid makes you realise how much there is too explore.........and...

Re: Republic of Georgia
I went for a two week trip to Georgia three years ago, one of the best paddling locations I have been to; great rivers and fantastic people. Chris Eastabrook runs a trip and has quite a few river notes, he also has contacts to a great guide who is based in Tablisi. Quite jealous of your access to so...

Air Italia and flights to Delhi
Hi Folks
Hoping for a trip to India at Easter and I am currently looking for flights to delhi, has anyone had any experience of AirItalia or Emirates with kayaks? I know virgin is the best option but also the most expensive.
Thanks

If Carlesburg made rivers........
Because its snowing outside and foreign trips are a long way off, I was wondering what would be the ideal river for many paddlers. You need to choose your perfect put in, four of your favourite rapids followed by your ideal get out. You also need to select your ideal post paddle drinking/cake establ...

Re: Pyrenees
I had an excellent week at the end of April last year. Landed in Toulouse and then followed a circuit of rivers: Gavarnie, Gave de Cauteret, Brossuet (right on the border), two sections of the Ara and two sections of the Cinquenta. Wild camping was very easy in France, not so easy near the Ara altho...

I am also going to big up the BMC, especially in foreign locations. Within three days I had a written reply explaining that they would be abl...

Really atmospheric video and I dont think that anyone can begrudge the fact that you didnt not get out for bank based SLR footage! Choice of music really fitted the reality of the situation and I am glad that you all made it to the car park in one piece!

Re: Pyrenees advice
We headed to the Pyreneese at the same time last year and had an excellent trip, lots of brilliant wild camping spots and a variety of rivers. Gavarnie and Cauteret were running well and the Brossuet is a really good low water option!

Completly agree, sent my dry suit in for repairs and the service has been excellent! I hope your expereince of Georgia is not tainted by a few idiots. Lovely place, great paddling and some extremely kind people! Also, bloody good cognac.

Northern India in August
Heading off to India for three weeks in August and currently debating what to wear for paddling. Would people who have gone recommend a dry suit, or would you go for a dry cag/neoprene shorts combo? Sadly cant afford the option of dry trouser/dry cag combo.
Thanks for any tips

Must run rivers in the pyrenees?
There appears to be a lot of chat about this particular mountain range at the minute but there is a group of us heading out for the last week of April. We are flying out to Toulouse and then heading off from there. We only have seven paddling days so I wanted to know what people thought that the mus...
