Re: Tay Descent - Access Points

Yeah, there are some steps and a path from the river to the thistlebrig carpark, just after the rapid there, easy to spot, vague s bend with waves just after the precarious looking perched cliff top houses. I'm in perth and free day times right now if you fancy company drop me a pm, might be able to...

Re: Beware : Disposable Five Ten Water Tennies

Good to know it's not just me, I guess watershoes have a pretty hard life! I went through a pair of Brewers in half a season, replaced them with Rasslers as they looked to have been beefed up the areas which has been trashed on the brewers, but I have no idea how they'll hold up. Best, and longest l...

Canada advice?

Hi guys, I'm moving to Calgary alberta in a few weeks, was wondering if anyone had lived / had extended trips to that neck of the woods and had any advice for a total Canadian boating newbie? Thinking stuff like are there decent clubs / forums which we could maybe hook up with oher boaters via as my...

Re: My Feet are leaking!

My ir suit seems to holding up great, the insides of the socks are painted with some kind of thick goo from new which seems to do a grand job of protecting the fabric, or at least stopping leaks in the fabric compromising the suit. If you need to replace the socks anyway why not have a go at emulati...

paddle fixing

My beloved ATs have started to fall apart, was wondering if anyone has any experience / tips of patching them up? The edging strip is de laminating from the front and back faces of the blade and in the worst parts the (foam? not sure) core is exposed. I had a god at building them back up with araldi...

FS Paddle Wagon

FS, Ford Focus Estate 1.6TDCI, 07 plate. 95k miles and still going strong.   An upcoming move across the Atlantic is forcing me to reluctantly sell my wagon! She’s economic to run, has plenty of room for toys and is cheap on tax and insurance. What more could you want?   Great fully flat load space ...

Re: FS - JK Allstar, 6 months old

Hi James, Sorry I've not had a chance to check back here since posting. Thanks for the offer, unfortunately I also listed the boat on eBay when I posted here, and as there is a bid on it I'm not sure of whether cancelling it is ok. It's only had one bid of £200 with 2 days left, why not bid on it? Y...

FS - JK Allstar, 6 months old

For sale, my sadly under used JK Allstar in solid red colour. Bought brand new 6 months ago and has only been used infrequently at HPP / Lee Valley / Hurley etc so in immaculate condition, see pics. Don't need to tell you how good this boat is, regardless of ability, as it's reputation is plenty! Sw...

Re: creeking shoe recommendations?

I've got a pair of Palm Gradients, they are great and way less bulky / more flexible than the Canyoneers so fit in more boats. They're as good as any 'approach' type shoes I've had for climbing / scrambling around. I'll buy another pair when they die but after a year they're still going strong...

South Wales - Low water options?

Going to be down in south wales at the weekend, and still not sure if the promised rain overnight Friday will be enough to bring things up... I'm keen to leave my bike in the car if I can, so what are the low water options for South Wales? Any suggestions apart from CIWW / Surf?

Cheers!

Another vote for the Cruz bars, mine have held up pretty well for 2 years of regular use, and they were £50. Heard too many horror stories about the inflatables to be tempted!

Re: Looking for ~~~ Sweet Protection S1 Peak ~~~

The lime's an old one so I'll compare them when I get home, but the old peak definitely fits the new hat so can't imagine it wouldn't work the other way around.

£15 and I'll cover postage? It's never been used.

Alternatively Des Meas have them for £31.50 in all the colours...
