Re: New sleeping bag..

Snugpak do sleeping bags with extender panels. Nanok's special forces range are oversized and very comfy Wiggys bags in the states are oversized and come with a lifetime guarantee. If you really want a comforatble sleeping bag though, you need a Montbell with elasicated baffles. Mine stretches from ...

Talking of hair remover, the reviews on Amazon for Veet for men are quite funny. Well worth a read :)

My T5 spends most of its life as a workvan. I made an upside down wooden hammock stand (beam accross the top) that wedges into the corners and gives me a great nights kip in the back. As it takes up virtually no space theres more room for kit and more importantly, beer. The top bar has lots of hooks...

Re: Advice on Contact Tows!

These Maxpedition hooks seem promising for this use, being able to be pulled away if needed?

Re: Smart Phones

"Advanced Task Killer" has really increased the life of mine - a lot of apps won't close fully & will still be running in the background, I've set it to run every hour & kill apps that I haven't added to an "ignore" list. Turn Wi-Fi & Bluetooth off, airplane mode is good when on the water, there ar...

Any paddlers around Peterborough/Stamford/Oundle?

I live near Oundle, anyone paddling around here? Would be good to meet some other local paddlers for some Nene trips.

Re: First Sea Kayak - NorthShore Atlantic RM^

I have had a similar experience to CG. I got my new red Atlantic RM from Desperate Measures in Sept. I had no previous 'yakin' experience other than some roll training in the swimming pool. It has been great for me. I't never felt tippy even on day one and inspires confidence in me. Everything seems...

Re: First post-Saying a big hello.

Thanks for the advice Andy, I'm going to keep getting out as often as I can. I've done 10 miles on the map this afternoon which is probably nearer 20 if I acount for the zig-zagging. I have been to Cornwall many times, I try to get down every year at least once now. I will definitely be wobblin' you...

First post-Saying a big hello.

Hello all I have just joined the ranks of the proper wobbly sea kayaking newbie, and thought I'd say hello to you all. I've been paddling for 2 weeks now in my new North shore Atlantic RM, and loving every wet-sleeved mile of it. I'm getting out on the Nene around Oundle and Peterborough as often a...
