Vauxhall Vectra Thule Roof Bars

These are off a 2008 Vauxhall Vectra Estate - please note that these are the type that you flip up the plastic covers on the roof and they have jaws that clamp to the roof structure, they are not for models fitted with front to rear rails, complete with four matching locks and square bars. They may ...

Re: FS: Thule Roof Bars Ford - Vauxhall & Universal

I have decided to withdraw the universal bars as the bars can be used for another set of feet.

The Vauxhall Vectra bars are still for sale.

Re: Pyranha Burn Medium 2010

OK so as requested I have tried taking some photos of the scratches and added to the Picasa folder (link above) none of these are particularly deep and whoever buys it will add to these the first time they take it out. I would point out there are some in the last photo about where your left knee wou...

Re: Upper Dart – Why is it infamous?

I'd like to add my thoughts on this in an effort to try and help you overcome your fears. I first started paddling in the early 70's and was the first British paddler to paddle at the now defunct Swiss Wild Water week, I was paddling a fibreglass Gaybo Olymp back then and this is how I got to be a c...

Paul would like to express his grateful thanks to the person who picked up and handed in his blades and thanks AS Watersports equally for holding them and posting on here, so that he could recover them. He will try not to be so forgetful in the future and check his kit is in the car before driving o...

Re: Is it possible to paddle... (Sussex/Kent)

Cuckmere is excellent day out, both meanders and paddling up the river and/or down to sea(you need to get the tides right),a bit of playing in the waves possible sometimes. Just park in Seven Sisters Country Park which has good parking and landing slip.River Medway in Kent is also obvious choice ,wi...

Thanks that has given me an idea for a two part folding bed platform and supported by a removable frame, for those odd nights kipping in the van.

Re: Vans - show 'em

I too am looking for inspiration as I intend to get a VW T5 Transporter soon, so look forward to seeing people's various conversions. On a more serious note while at the Isle of Man TT this year I read the tragic story of a 29 year old motorcycle racer sleeping in his van, and as it was cold he put ...

BaldockBabe You had a bit of a rough time of it by the sound of things! Re: Broken Collar bone (possible surgery)

I busted my right clavicle into three pieces about 3 years ago along with multiple fractures to 7 ribs doing a poor Superman impression off my motorcycle. After being told nothing could be done and it would have to heal on it's own I wrote to the Trust Chief Executive to complain I eventually had it...

I think it looks great fun, if I ever visit the city in the summer I would tempted to give it a blast. Was it my imagination or do they have a system of signs for the get out points? Yes, and on my local river (the Rhine) they even mark the swimming section with bouys so that the large barges keep ...

Thanks for all the tips guys. Have been soaking in Vinegar overnight as was advised this may unseize some of the salt corrosion...no luck as yet. It is the White varilock that seems to be worse. Will keep posted....not sure about trying highly corrosive brake fluid! It's not corrosive you wouldn't ...

Re: Lendal Paddlok Trouble

Acetone and ATF are both carsinogenic I believe, so avoid contact with the skin, don't drink it either it tastes disgusting. I'm not sure why but ATF and brake fluid make good decoking agents, we would use a little ATF added to engine oil and idled only for a while then drained and replaced with fre...
