Re: Norwegian Air - Kayak Friendly?

Yep, they're awesome. Didn't even weigh my bag or boat. They did measure my kayak, they've got the dimensions drawn on the floor by the oversized luggage area. My kayak was too big. They took it regardless!

Re: Whitewater or White Water

Great to see the usual UKRGB suspects still getting fired up on semantics. Here's a second one for you then:

If it is whitewater, is it also flatwater? Or can whitewater co-exist with flat water?

Whitewater or White Water

In a couple of months we'll be releasing Meghalaya Rivers, a guidebook to paddling in Meghalaya, India. We are in the last last last stages of editing and just got a message from the publishers to change all references to 'whitewater' and turn them into 'white water'. After a few minutes on google I...

Norwegian Air - Kayak Friendly?

Looking at the specs on their website it would seem creek boats are too long:

"Your gear must not exceed 250 x 79 x 112 cm (L x H x W)"

Anyone got first hand experience with them?

First ever whitewater paddled in India

Hey guys :) I'm currently writing a short history of padding in India for the upcoming Meghalaya Rivers guidebook. So far we have Lute Jerstad down as the leader of the first whitewater rafting trip to India in 1976. Does anyone have any information about paddling prior to this? Or any wee nuggets o...

Flying with Turkish Airlines

How are Turkish. They're charges seem pretty straightforward, do you just pay at the airport? Do they like to be told you're taking your 'Canoe' in advance?

Re: Anyone paddled a L Burn 2 & Burn 3 XL?

Pretty sure the XL is more roomy than the Burn 2. I also find the XL paddles wayyyy better (for me) when the seat is way back, which means more roomy. Space isn't an issue in size 10 canyoneers

Just wondering if you guys could give me some advice: Me and a friend were thinking of heading out to India for 3 weeks in August and were wondering which part of India it would be best to travel to (Interested in paddling class 4 and above)? Likewise, disregarding the Kynshi to give the other rivers a chance... The Phulbani was the best day section I've ever done, but like James I'm a big fan of big volume multidays so probably the Kopili: http://img4021.photobox.co.uk/453173840c0bb15bb6f2c0b7cb0aa00c9c1a80c64e549774779f2e3bcbd139c00d6d...

Re: Low water Nepal

Thanks a load for the info guys. We had a great trip on the Arun gorges and lower combo, although the Arun Gorge was a fair bit scarier than we had anticipated and we mainly stuck to chicken lines! Great camping, epic firewood and it really is a stunning gorge. We also decided to save some time and ...

Episode 9 is now up, definitely my favorite river in the world, runnable at a tonne of different levels, including a pretty scary high water descent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MueL8MO8YXc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MueL8MO8YXc&utm_content=bufferf0a2d&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook....

Cheers for the nice words guys! Agreed. Are Ford India linking to the series at all? If no, it might be worth seeing if they'll feature one of your more vehicle heavy episodes on their website. May get more views from a slightly different audience? You would think that makes sense, but one thing we'...
