Re: Saws - where do you carry yours?

I bought one of these saws and its brilliant: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fiskars-UK-Limi ... B0002TTRQ2
It cuts though stuff like butter and its small enough to fit in the pocket of my AMP pfd easily taking up not much space at all.

Are you serious?!! There are centres all over the uk running programmes like these! Just because you have no knowledge of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen! Don't be so quick to slate something that you havent got correct info on!

Re: Pig Rig Image

So me and some friends were playing about with the Pig rig and Roving 4:1 that simon mentions. Seems to work really really well. Simple and effective. So I was having a play about with it today and I introduced a second crab on the anchor point and re-threaded the tape through that, changing the dir...

Nope it just adds another dimension if its their proffession. Dont try to put words into my mouth either!! I am not saying that level 5's are immune from criticism, im saying that just because your a so called boater does not mean you have the right to get into anyones business, whether ordinary bob...

Just because I drive a car does not mean I have a right to know about a car accident that has stuff all to do with me!! Re: (Another??!!) Glaslyn Gorge Video

Think that the lack of focus is probably my fault for being an impatient get and not giving Rich time to set himself up properly! It was flippin baltic though! Some pretty shoddy lines as well!! Love the video though!!!!

Re: Ogwen today? Really???

I don't think that it is right to blame or point fingers, or even hold people account. I do think though, that it should be discussed whether on some rivers it is appropriate to paddle in large groups in questionable conditions. Whilst I agree that scientifically the damage done to the river is most...

Re: Ogwen today? Really???

Think that the OP has every right to question the decision. Firstly getting on the Ogwen with a trickle in it, and secondly in a large group. Out of interest which get out were they using? In response to the comment "let he without sin cast the first stone", how do you know that the OP gets on "sens...

Give surf-lines Llanberis a shout! As well as having an outdoor centre they run a shop. I know that they have dealt with Scout groups and Grants before. They will provide you with all the info on the perfect kit for your needs and budget as well giving you a good discount based on the amount you spe...

Re: Experience of using kayaking knife in emergency?

Fiskar Retractable saw is very lightweight and fits easily in the front of my palm amp BA with ease. I got mine from B & Q but readily available on internet. I used it to cut through a 15cm branch and it cut through it like butter! rrp around £15.
