Re: What will the results of this for canoeists on the River

Interestingly, since this 'could' affect both the angling and canoeing communities.. perhaps an 'alliance' will be necessary in order to avoid the no go areas coming into force.... ...... .....

Re: Four Star WW Leadership Award Revision

Betty- they've revised the 4 star award.. it is now aimed at a leader leading 4 paddlers of any level not just peers. therefore broadening the award and stepping up awareness and rescue skills. Lower T was my 3rd ww trip, our club has some awesome river leaders/coaches.. I do recall a swim or two bu...

Re: 194 cracked Vs 197 straight

Personally I think you will find a big difference. Not the same scenario but kinda related. I used to paddle with 194 Players.. and then got some 194 Sherpa's... and found them totally different.. for the first time I wanted shorter paddles! Given the extra surface area and therefore power in the sh...

For SWAP. WERNER SHERPA's

Hi, I have some 194's RH ... will add in feather later as I can't remember what they are... Werner Sherpa's for SWAP ONLY Really good condition, but need 191's :( I have 194 players which were fine, but the added power on the sherpa's make them slightly unwieldy. Based S.E London/N.Wales. Pic's in r...

Not quite East London, but what about Bromley Canoe Club in the south east. Highly reccomendable as a social club that has the experience within to help you improve your game. Lots of trips to lots of places..beer/port consumption desirable but not essential :)

Just wondered if anyone had some more up to date feedback on the dry suit? Is it durable, dry, has it lasted the 3 years? Would you buy another one?
Cheers.

STA Travel, adventure sports insurance... covers ww rafting... phone them/ go in and see them. don't use the online stuff as a guide cos they're website isn't accurate. They're amazing, very helpful. And not too expensive either.

Re: Should I change boats? Which one?

It sounds to me like you and I have had the same issue. However the word you're looking for is 'Twitchy' not tippy. The GT has a slicey back end which waves like to play with in a non uniform manner... meaning the person in the boat can feel less comfortable about how stable the boat is. I own an in...

Has he considered the Instructor development schemes which both PYB and Glenmore lodge offer? Places are very competitive.. and a background in climbing and kayaking with a thirst for more is needed. When I say I know nothing about types of boats.. I really mean it. If you'll expand on why I might consider such a boat then it might help. Sorry, I've only ever paddled white water...can tell you everything you need to know about rails, edges, displacement hulls, and manufactorers... but in this ar...

Hi, advice wanted.. not sure what I'm after/where to look!

Hi Guys, wonder if you can help me. I paddle whitewater and want to develop in two areas; speed and balance... and know I probably want a k1 type kayak. But don't know anything about them or even about the categories they fit into!! I want to build up cardio work on a lake... something that requires...

WANTED URGENTLY: Sweet rocker padding

Hi Guys, wonder if anyone can help. If anyone has a slice lying around and would post it to me then it would be greatly apprec...
