Re: Question for Ethos 10 owners

This: I'm considering buying a Wavesport ethos 10 as i like the idea of having a boat that can do a bit of everything. and this: Is it a good boat to learn ww skills on or would I be better off with a dedicated ww boat ? to me are two different types of boat. If you'd like a boat that "can do a bit ...

Waterproof smartwatches?

Is anybody using a waterproof smartwatch/fitnesstracker while kayaking? I'm looking at buying a garmin but am unsure whether I could wear the forerunner models which are 5atm during kayaking or if I'd need at least 10atm.

Re: Which Drysuit?

Wow! have been wondering about sweet's drygear for a while now. Seems to make sense that they are leaving this small market. I guess the helmets are less difficult to make since they are close to the wintersport ones. As far as drysuits go: so far I've tried sandiline, palm, nrs, ir, kokatat and swe...

Re: Lighter weight plastic whitewater boats

Lettmann offer a "race" version of the manta which they advertise as being lighter due to less plastic.

Re: Back deck roll

I don't really use it on whitewater because I feel that it leaves my face exposed and also puts my shoulder in position which doesn't feel healthy. Only exception would be easy whitewater <4 after a messed up kick flip.

Re: Paddle Help

Powerhouse and Sherpa are both great paddles. Blades are bigger on the powerhouse which means more strength needed for proper use. If you want to progress into playboating it might be worth looking at the sidekick as well. Personally, I wouldn't use anything shorter than 196 for whitewater - I use 1...

Re: Shorts with liner

Have now tried the Sweet Shambalas and Palm Horizon. Shambalas do cover the knees better but are less comfy on my hips. The palm ones were on sale so I got me a pair of those.

I'll be at my second home in the us next month and order the IR ones as well.

Shorts with liner

I'm looking for some shorts for playboating. Have seen quite a few people wearing Sweet Shambalas. IR neoprene lined guide shorts also look promising and Palm seem to offer a pair called horizon with fleece lining. Has anybody seen these in person or tried them and can recommend one above the others?

New boat for smooth cartwheels

I'm new to the community so please bear with me if I've chosen the wrong section... Currently looking for a boat that cartwheels easily and isn't quite as bouncy as my 2013 allstar. Is the loki any good or can you recommend another new boat with slicey ends? I'm tired of waiting for a decent prozone...
