Found canoe paddle on the glaslyn

Found a paddle before the gorge today - doesn't look like it's been in the water long.
Drop me a message with details of you've lost one

Re: Access Rights

Hi guys, treading backwards a little, i personally disagree with any river user who sees that the term 'access' encompasses navigation. When i met with Tim Jones the Mid and North Wales director for Natural Resource Wales about the very silly Welsh Dee Partnership, i was very clear to ensure that he...

Re: What's the Tryweryn like to paddle on 16 cumecs?

From memory (the last time i ran it at 16 was a couple of years ago) the graveyard eddys become a little more sporting and i remember seeing someone loop a burn on the ski slope hole but other than that it mostly washes out. The lower became a little more fun with the increase but again, nothing new...

Re: We need to sort out the grading system!

Ive always believed in Corrans system in some form. Its true that difficulty grading is subjective - the same piece of water in different boats can change the difficulty dramatically.....I wouldnt want to be steep creeking in a squirt boat for example. Consequence grading is however not terribly sub...

I got the glide in the first UK shipment and took it down everything! The idea of taking it down a high level mellte now is not one that lasts long! I will never ever sell it - it still punishes me on every outing it gets!

simon it was 24k from memory! (on 16 staff?) But anyway in answer to the first question - check with your club treasurer as to what affiliation you have. When i sorted the birmingham uni lot i added more licences as members use the canal. I think we now have 10 which means we can have any 10 boats o...

Im gunna disagree with a couple of you here; Yes bootie beers could be used to humiliate and bully people. However, in my experience in both personal and student trip worlds this has never been the case. its just a bit of fun, a bit of banter and a recognition of occasional error, normally instigate...

I hear what you say about latex and a few years back i struggled to find what i wanted (for the price), but for the birmingham uni lot i went out and bought a bulk of Palm vertigo's - neo neck and latex wrists as i figured that even ripped latex with the velcro around it would hold out most water - ...

As Canoe Wales who rent the land from NRW policy is such that no charge can be enforced fo...

In other news, I'm about to close the petition because we have now made it as far as a director of natural resource Wales. Fingers crossed our comments will be listened to.

If your looking for a cheap method, ive always opted to put a little tea tree oil in a bath of warm water (not enough to act as a solvent!) and rinse all the kit through that.
