Lost Select W1 Texalium Usk 25th October

I lost my Select W1 Texalium RH crank a few hundred yards downstream of Llangynidr Bridge today.

Anybody finds it much appreciated.

No offence, but a quick search shows you can buy a new one in the colour and size you want for £25 more. Do you think you might be overpricing it?

Re: Weather by text to a mobile phone

I wrote something a couple of years ago for multi day trips that may help . It sends you the inshore water forecast by email for the areas and dates/times you want. The idea is you set it up in advance and then can forget about it. Its not SMS so it does use data, but its minimal compared to web pag...

Re: Delphin owners - cockpit/spraydeck size?

Rog, Sorry to hear it didn't fit. Interesting that the problem was mainly with the width. According to their size guide 48cm is almost bang in the middle of the recommended width range so if anything you'd expect more of a problem with the length than the width. It may be mine has stretched a bit. I...

Re: Delphin owners - cockpit/spraydeck size?

I have a Delphin 150 and a Reed spraydeck. I've never had a problem with it and used it a fair bit in the surf. Looking at the order the info I gave was: Boat Make and Model: Delphin 150 Cockpit Style and Shape: Keyhole A Cockpit Material: Plastic Cockpit Length X: 85 Cockpit Width Y: 47 Hope that h...

Yikes it was never my intention to put others off posting. Douglas My turn to apologise now. I never meant to imply this as I'm sure you realise. Your posts are informative and inspiring and long may they continue. Mrs EssJayEff and I are going up to Mull in May so here's hoping we will be able to ...

Re: Forum split

I'm a minimal poster on here but I suspect there's a lot of us like that so here's my thoughts. Initially I thought the traffic didn't justify splitting it, but on reflection think its a good idea. I really like the SOTP Blogg stuff and would be happy to post to it if I could get my act together wit...

You could try chaletsdirect.com. They have a 'solutions room' for this type of request. Good luck.

Re: Inshore Water Forecasts by email

Thanks guys. Aled, I need to think a bit more about what you are asking for. I suspect I dont understand your request fully as it seems to me you can already do what you want, just not on one single request page. For example, I was planning to go to Devon this weekend so I have set up requests for F...

Re: Inshore Water Forecasts by email

Thanks for the comments - I'm glad its proving useful. Andy, I don't have IE 9 but seems OK on IE10 - if I get the chance I'll look into it further. You will also be waiting till tomorrow for your first email as it doesn't offer retrospective forecasts. When a new forecast comes out it processes exi...

Inshore Water Forecasts by email

Some of you may be interested in a website I put together for an Anglesey circumnavigation last week. It emails you the inshore waters forecast for one or more areas. It worked well, in that when we stopped we always had a recent forecast, even if we didn't have a mobile signal, so I've tarted it up...

Re: Hi everyone

Hi Tids, I was in the same situation as you not so long ago and ended up with a Big Dog Flux after trying one at Cardiff on wimps night. In my limited experience what seems fast and manouverable on flat water might feel a bit too twitchy on white water, and what feels slow and not very manouverable ...
