Re: NHS ear plugs

Yep, went to the Gp he said he would ask ENT, the consult said it maid sense to be proactive and save the NHS the inevitible bills in the future, and sent me straight of for a set, while I was having the moulds done I enquired about a second set and leashes and the tech said that made sense and orde...

Re: Help required for design project

If I was to approach this project I would look into the way the automotive industry carry out crash test simulation and apply it to your problem, which is also how an impact is transfered to a human body. I would look into an Adams simulation. I would also see if I could get CAD data for the boat th...

Re: Raising the seat on a burn

Is it just me or could most boats do with a higher seat out of the factory, is it just a ploy to make them seem more stable?

Re: Connect 30 outfitting

Depends what you plan to use it for and how much of your own outfitting you plan to add, Then main differences are the grab loops and the lack of a ratchet backband (you could always fit an IR one which is much better than the Pyranha offering anyway. Although you may be able to get some good discou...

Re: Any More For Any More? New Boats For 2011

If Pyranha make another boat using Robert Peerson I hope they spend some time developing the larger size as I didn't like the L Molan. This is Pyranhas biggest fault in there design process, there seems to be little development. The Burn being the only boat that has been re-released as a Mk2. Most ...

Re: Molan Outfitting advice

Cheers for the tips so far. shoddy material/workman ship I think it is more of a design fault arising from trying to keep the costs down by making it all one unit, and simplifying the shell moulding. At the moment Pyranha are churning out new boat designs which look good, however they need to stop a...

Molan Outfitting advice

Anyone know how to improve the Pyranha Connect 30 thigh braces which dont function particularly well and slip you lean on the backrest. http://jonlufbra.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/dsc_3428.jpg?w=150 From the pic you can see where the bolt has cut through the holes. I have to say half of the connect...

Re: Paddle advice needed

Definitely worth getting decent paddles, im not a fan of Robson paddles (There very slicy). My recommendation would be the either the Player, Sherpa or maybe even the Twist from Werner. Maybe AT4 play SS if you want some cheap cranks. Also if you are not attacking the grades I wouldn't worry weather...

Re: Which Paddle?

I would caution against getting any of the Double Dutch paddles other than the pressure moulded glass ones (Genius Concept??? I think) as their hollow pre-preg blades have a reputation for fragility (though mine is holding up ok, and is unbelivably light). There the ones I meant, I have a set that ...

Dagger Nomad section: Shortened Spanish Fly Nope. Applying the KST rule. if you pulled up at the latest fashionable paddling spot in something that is guaranteed to tip and get KSTs make up all smudged. She would just turn away and get into the nearest Mamba cos they are cooler (and more stable). Y...

Re: Dreaded 'help me decide' Post

You can paddle all grade 3 3+ in a playboat/river playboat and have far more down river play potential. Your Inazone would be more fun when experimenting on waves/holes and more predictable than a big boat like the diesel and you will be able to unleash things like stern squirts easier than in somet...
