15/02/14: Lost HF Weasel Throwbag; Llugwy (Chip Shop Drop)

Hey All, If anyone comes across an 18m HF Weasel Line on the LLugwy, with my name written on it and a Blue Palm Paddle Carabiner attached, it would be quite optimal to be reunited with it. It came out of my boat (Lack of Carabiner application here) after the Chip Shop drop in Betws-y-Coed on Sat 15t...

Re: Broken AT2 Flexi

Hi Sam,

Coincidently I snapped my AT Eddy Flexi's on the right crank last week. They were 2m and the left side is absolutely fine, just a bit of epoxy added to the blade edges.

Where are you based?

Re: Accident on Tees

My thoughts go to those involved and to the family of the kayaker, I hope all can focus on being together and remembering the person in life more than just this tragic accident.

Well done to the group who assisted, at the risk of becoming involved in a terrible situation.

UPPER SWALE: HF Alpin 25m Throwline + Screwgate

Hi Guys and Gals, ...Stupid little error at the start of this month; I left my lovely 25m HF Throwline attached to a tree at the Lower Kisdon get out for the Upper Swale at the start of October (4th run/ it got dark/I was wearing a coat instead of a cag/I forgot). I've heard it's still there/kayaker...

Been using the IR Lucky Charm for my Shiva M for a month and a bit now (cheers Mark! Awesome service). It's a fantastic deck, if you find it hard to put on I suggest Yoga, natural yoghurts and a daily meditation... :-P Seriously though it's not hard to put on, stays on and really is dry, plus it doe...

LOST - AT Paddles, Upper Tee's 23/12/11

Due to a silly mistake on Upper Tees today I have managed to lose a set of AT Eddy paddles just after Low force, around 10am today. Last seen speeding down the very last 'rapid' section of the Upper Tees before the get out. The have red blades, a bit of green and yellow tape around the shaft and my ...

Re: University Clubs Using their Uni Pools

This is the code of conduct that they have come up with. Most of it is sensible and probably just a shock to us as it had also been as Big Phill described. Its the last points about personal boats that is frustrating, however that other clubs have had to pad boats out or are not allowed to use them...

Re: Helmet Help!

Trident is pretty big in size, although you are supposed to pad it out yourself etc... It may be faffy trying to fit it to a small head. Looks great though! You could try and get a beaked wanderer before next season's Sweet helmets come out as they don't have the little peak/beak. Bern have come up ...

Hi all, I know theres a few surgeons/docs on this forum, and have read some old posts relating to kayakers with broken clavicles; so opinion/story time? The nookie socks looked much better but there wasnt any in my size in stock at the time. Had the Nookie Kelvar extremes, used them inside a playboat on happy feet and only ever walked around with them inside shoes or on a sandy beach. Fell apart in a month or so, I even washed them out regularly. A...

Re: Pimp my paddle blades!

Extremely lightly sanded a set of glass sherpa's I had bought 2nd hand (used a fair bit) and brushed araldite over them, worked a treat and saved a few pieces that we're looking to flake off. If the blades are looking quite knackered you could always get some fibreglass or better; carbon tape and ar...

Possibly STOLEN: Project 62 + Fuse 56

Ok so I'm maybe being hugely presumptious with this but I'm going to post it here anyway, as there seems to be a lot of boat theft about recently. I apologise in advance if this is a genuine sale! http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=65812 Recommend trying out as many helmets as possible, but the top UK choices are SR standard, WSRI, Rocker, Wanderer... all good helmets, the latter two being much more expensive but arguably justifiable. You have to play around with the...

I have the Full cut version and its good. Offers lots of protection but I find it sits very far down over the eyes. The Standards do seem to sit a little oddly over the eyes, in just enough view to annoy me before I layered two back pads in such a way to angle it much better. No issues with it now ...
