Myself and my partner are looking at one or two weeks between the 14th of October and the 5th of November with local outfit TwoBlades.com They need a minimum of four people for the trip to run. Re: Montenegro, Tara canyon

I am planning a trip to Montenegro in May / June 2016 but it seems to be difficult to get foreign use car insurance that includes B&H and Montenegro. I know you can buy cover at the border but this is only public liability, as I understand it. Has anyone found comprehensive cover?

Re: River Barle - Tarr Steps to Exe Confluence

4th December 2014 Tree under wooden footbridge. There is a tree lying across the centre span between the piers of the wooden footbridge between Brewer's Castle and Mounsey Castle SS 884 296. It's not obvious on approach as it was lying pretty much at the water level (Brushford gauge 0.80). The left...

Re: River Walkham - Bedford bridge to Tavy Confluence

1.11.2013 Quite a lot of trees / debris in the river but all negotiable at low flow and the nice rapids are all clear. BUT a big tree trunk is wedged in just below the SLOT. This is backing up the pool so the slot isn't as deep as usual but you definitely would not want to take a swim here as the tr...

Re: River Walkham - Huckworthy to Bedford Bridge

1.11.2013 completely tree free. Only 0.42 on EA gauge at Horrabridge so a bit scrapey at the put in but otherwise fine to paddle and an interesting extension to the main Walkham run. Also no sign of barbed wire mentioned in some guides.

Wanted: VW Transporter T5 LWB

I'm looking for a T5 LWB for a paddle wagon. My ideal van would be the Kombi version with the tailgate (a must) with less than 100k on the clock.

If you have one or know of one for sale drop me a line...

Re: Middle Tavy - trees blocking river

The tree blocking the left hand channel around the island has now been partly removed allowing clear passage on river right. The island is a little over 1Km north of Harford bridge, the normal takeout for this section, and about 1/2 Km down river from the second foot bridge. The remaining part of th...

Liquid Logic Freeride 57 or 67?

Does anyone have an idea which would be the better fit for a tall but not very heavy paddler? I'm 6'4" and a bit under 80kg.

The obvious thing to do would be to demo a boat but I'm in Devon and the nearest I can find is at the Tees barrage.

Any thoughts?

Re: HPP Closure?

I've just checked with HPP and it's just the two events in September where the course is closed to other users. 15th / 16th for Slalom 22nd for Youth Freestyle Course is open as usual otherwise, with the normal proviso that it may be affected if there's heavy rain. It's not obvious but anything mark...
