Re: Pay to paddle on Bala Lake / Llyn Tegid?

I know anglers who have fished the lake while picnicing with their families and the Snowdonia national park wardens charge the anglers to fish also... even tho the farmers own the land down to the waterside! ( Fact) a farmer that has land on the south side of the lake charges for access across a rai...

Re: Council taken to court over ‘disturbing fish’ in River C

decisions made in a court other than magistrates courts where criminal proceedings are heard always create precedence. Thats what Judges do....and record all case law in legal journals for all to read. This is how law evolves....not in forums I understand! There is no 1st instance about a decision, ...

Re: Council taken to court over ‘disturbing fish’ in River C

Done a bit of homework on the Judge in the case...Mr David Shaw. To those that think he's a magistrate....he's not...and i think the word judge gives that away folks... So if he finds the case for the paddlers...great. if not and as most people in the area know he's a tough cookie then the outcome c...

Re: Conwy Falls Incident

I was making a valid point.
I'm surprised at how little fellow paddlers know of local govt issues.
Just proves my point when others are so sceptical of valid reason and stated fact
I reckon a few have been watching a few too many " X files"

Re: Conwy Falls Incident

Just a point of clarification on the marker board idea....the idea of signs being placed on the egress and ingress points seems pointless where the ogwen valley rescue team are concerned, they are not the authority to consult on such matters, its the Snowdonia national park Authority at Penrhyndeudr...

Re: Conwy Falls Incident

I'm more appalled than before now that I read " Fishlickers" comments regards myself...he's obtuse and in need of returning to his Kindergarten days and start all over again! I have never met this man if indeed if he is a man..as he shows no good manners. I live by the river and know the falls intim...

Re: Conwy Falls Incident

I'm horrified at the incident as yet again it shows that guys are going out in conditions that they could not cope with. I'm more worried at the cost of this rescue and if figures quoted by the cops are anything to go by, the 22 squadron chopper is down by £15K minimum for flight time and assistance...

Re: SAFFA 1975 Act, the new reason why we cannot paddle rivers

Its seems that as of now a lot of angling clubs and riaprian owners throughout Wales have learnt through river bank conversations and email distribution of this site and of the specific threads within that refer to angling waters and land that they the anglers own, rent and lease and that there is e...

Re: SAFFA 1975 Act, the new reason why we cannot paddle rivers

I would add following further discussion with those in authority re disturbing "Spawning fish" The act of distrubing spawning fish is where by a person or persons presence at a time and in a place on a river where salmon are observed at taking part in spawning, those fish are distrubed and prevented...

Read and weep on the rest.....its all about research and if your a student then you should know how that goes.......
