Paddling the Frischbach in Otztal

A couple of laps of an afternoon, fits in nicely after a run or two on the Upper Oetz or the Lower Vent. Better with a bit more water in it though I think. To get to the get on: as you are driving down the valley from the Upper Oetz or Lower Vent, on your way through Langenfeld you cross it and imme...

Re: A little high water boating in Austria

This was back in June. There was a big storm up the valley and the river hit over two meters on the Brunau gauge during the day. We hit it after work in the evening, was a blast!

Re: The problem with BA sizing...

So I managed to get to a shop and try as many on as I could (5) and found the Amp to be a good fit but not stocked in my size in a non hideous colour, the extreme to be an unnecessary expense with too much to fall to bits and be fiddly with cold hands, the Greenjacket not to be stocked in my size on...

The problem with BA sizing...

Yep, I need a new BA. But there's a problem. It would appear I am too skinny for M/L sizes and too heavy for S/M sizes! This I'm sure you will agree is a ridiculous state of affairs. Could anybody help me with this problem? I am a 38 inch chest and hit the scale at around 78-80kg currently. Cheers!

That's cool as a cucumber that is! I don't want an artistic though, my friend had one and it fell apart three times before he got fed up and bought a multisport 3.

Re: Drysuits!

So, it's either an IR or a Typhoon then since the Kokatat is too much money! I like the Typhoon, the 1 year warranty on everything and 3 year warranty on workmanship shows a lot of confidence in their product. I like the IR suits, lots of design time, good customer service and a simple design withou...

Re: Drysuits!

Right, Kokatat are just too much money and my income isn't stable enough for finance. Typhoon is a possibility, heard they're good and last well. Palm I don't really know what to think about because people say it doesn't last but my dry trousers have seen 5 or 6 years of boating without failing unti...

Drysuits!

It's quite a simple question really, I'm shopping around for a drysuit, what should be on my list to look at and where can I go to try them on?

Thanks

FS: Peak UK Creek Suit M

Hello fellow paddlers! I have for sale a Peak UK Creek Suit in size Medium. It is a few seasons old now (orange and grey not red and grey) but is in excellent condition! This partly being due to the fact that the whole bottom half of the suit is only a few months old! I had the whole bottom half rep...

Re: Crank shaft versus straight, advice please

Stick a pair of goggles on and watch someone else roll from underwater. Then do the same (goggles) when you next try with your cranks, think about what's different about the two things, also being able to watch the paddle blade will enable you to keep an eye on the angle of the sweeping blade, which...

I have been told that they are about to release an update to the thigh braces because so many people have problems with them, the new system is supposed to be easily retro fittable to replace the old.

Re: Replacing the zip on a peakuk creek suit?

It is the zip. The rubber is knackered. Cracked and peeling off the inner weave. How much do you want for the bottom half?
