Parcelforce are only good upto 2.5m long, 5m is the combined length and width. So upto Burn Medium for example.

Re: Aries or Delphin

Hi guys thanks for your comments on Delphin Vs Aries. Just a couple of points. The PH Logo on the Aries is a cost option - as its painted into the gelcoat and takes significant time and care to achieve. Regards the skeg issues noted. A couple of years ago we changed the slider mechanism to a differe...

Rich

Please PM me if your problem is not already sorted.

Kirtsen

I have been speaking to your dealer this week and new parts are on their way. I don't believe your issue is a difficult one to solve and we should be able to get it sorted by the weekend.

Re: Burn 2 vs Burn 3

Pyranha's customer service is extremely good, I have always been happy with that, but its about time a company that has made poor decisions on outfitting sort it out properly, there is no reason why owners cannot take their boats back to a Pyranha dealer and be fixed FOC, why should they be buying ...

Re: Pyranha moan

Enjoyer Firstly. Apologies for any problems you've had with your pyranha kayak. I must admit that the comment about sponsored paddlers was very badly constructed and didn't really get across my meaning. I need to apoligise for this. Indeed I realised after I'd posted it but too late to edit it. I gu...

Re: Pyranha moan

Franky You're right in that there are some excellent value products out there. Based on older designs and simpler outfitting. Many people are buying these. Kayaks have gotten cheaper in real terms or at least remained good value, especially when you take the specification into consideration. In 1998...

Re: Pyranha moan

Alex. As I've posted we are aware of the issue with C4S seats in earlier boats. This was dealt with. I have offered to sort out anybody with a boat with C4S that is having problems and indeed any problems bthey are having with their kayak. Alex If you are having problems with your Pyranha kayak then...

Re: Pyranha moan

All Thanks for your comments. We had an issue at the start of production of the C4S ( Connect 2014) seat where the wing nuts were coming loose. We added star washers and as far as I'm aware problem solved. Not to say that there are not already boats in the field with this problem but if this one was...

Re: Burn 2014 vs Mamba 2013

Without doubt there is a large element of choice and preference in the sizing issue. Some people just prefer a bigger or smaller boat and will perhaps be asking it to do a different job. There's good solid adjust-ability in the seat which gives you height, forward, backward and rake trim all standar...

Re: Burn 2014 vs Mamba 2013

At 72 kg you'll be just fine in the Medium. Our weight ranges are based on asking people how heavy they were without kit. So we asked people whether they thought the boat was the right size for them and people reporting weights upto 75kg generally thought the Medium was just fine. I'll admit this is...

Re: Burn 2014 vs Mamba 2013

Hi Much as its lovely to have Simon comment on the construction of our boats I would have to point out that the Connect 2014 seat is majority roto-moulded with injected moulded brackets. As is the step out pillar. The hull stiffener is Thermoformed but that hasn't changed for the new system over the...

Re: Varun owners, advice please...medium or large?

hi

I've paddled both mostly because the medium came out first and we all went and paddled it a load. I would say the medium for you would be a great playboat. I would definitely choose the large as it will still be fun but its a little wider and perhaps a little more slicey so predictable but fun.

I've paddled both medium and large quite a bit. I would go for the large for river running.

Ah Now I think that does make a difference. I'll try and check again in the morning. My previous assertions were based pretty much on the possible date and location but now were have the boat number we can check much more clearly.

Re: Can anyone identify this boat?

Hi Based on the info above we can tell you only a little about this kayak. We would need to confirm the build number which likely appears on the part of the blue (originally pink - assume discolored) to be certain. However, we believe this is the 99th Dawn Treader built around end of 1984 and shippe...

Hi. Sorry you've had ne response. You should have received an out of office notification. I'll try and get that sorted for future holidays. Essentially the difference is construction. Delphin surf is a single layer plastic made much like a whitewater kayak. If serious rockhopping is what you're inte...

Re: Whitewater spray decks on the sea

Here at Pyranha/P&H we have different decks for Whitewater and Sea Kayaks. Firstly the sizing is different and having a deck which is sized to your cockpit rim will improve the seal and ease of use. Our decks also differ in that the shockcords are thinner on the P&H decks to enable them to go on eas...

Hi

You should consider the Cetus HV - loads of room and still loads of performance. Give me a call because we can get an HV to any PH dealer given enough time. Other than that Pete at Summit to Sea will be a great place to see and test an HV.

Its a bit of a hybrid really. Certainly it looks like Venture Gunwales fixings and end decks but it not Venture Hangers - maybe Wennonah. Although the lash kit is simlilar to the way we do ours but we dont use the D rings. It is a bit suspicious that there are no photos of the outside of the boat. h...
