jitsu 6.0

I have finally admitted that to myself that I will never be a playboater so I am selling my Jitsu 6.0. This is a fantastic boat so I will be sorry to see it go but really, I never use it! It has all the usual scratches, the previous owner was a playboater so it has been used but not abused, came fro...

Whilst I have no experience with their kayak insurance e&l are renowned for being awful at paying out, I would avoid like the plague if I were you, the bcu insurance seem a lot more reasonable from speaking to those who have had to claim

rotator cuff tendonitis

Just wondering if anyone had any experience of this. I have seen a physio & been doing the exercises etc. but the healing is taking a frustratingly long time. I have been off the water around 3 months now and although it is getting better slowly I am starting to get a little impatient/concerned. The...

Has anyone compared the new burn to the everest? Pyranha have 2014 everests in different colours on their website, think that the prices must just be the move over to the new outfitting but we shall see I suppose!

I got some wide 5m ones from a surf shop on eBay, they were loads cheaper than the kayak branded ones, and are pretty much identical

this is the flaw in the plan, know as dead space. If your tubes too long you are wasting your time, of which you have little, but what use is a short tube?

Re: Paddling OCD's!

Everyone does it, but splash face with water at the start of the river and before any chunky bits. This could well be due to the mammalian diving reflex, its a bit of an evolutionary throw back, cold water splashing onto you face slows your heart rate down in preparation for long dives underwater (...

Cheap Kingpin 6.3

Due to lack of use, and a new mountain bike, I am sadly having to sell my kingpin 6.3. It has been well used by both myself and the previous owner, but is still in full working order with no deformation of the hull, cracks, large gouges etc. Just plenty of the usual scratches, the majority of its li...

Re: Anyone take their dog to work or kayaking/canoeing

Petplan is what I use, and they are generally recommended, pretty sure there's a fairly substantial 3rd party on their policies as well. watch out for the cheaper ones, they get very funny about paying out, even some of the bigger insurance companies have a dubious reputation, probably best to have ...

Wanted: racks for a skoda fabia

Bit of a long shot here, but does anyone have roof bars to fit a skoda fabia estate without roof rails. Mont blanc does one, as does the halfords value (not thule though, unfortunately!). Fitting kits, bars or the whole lot would be great, not after anything too flash.
thanks very much

I used to have a rover mini, boats go on no problem! something to keep in mind though, is that you'll spend most of your free time pottering around fixing things on it, so won't need to carry boats (worth it though!)

I paid almost the same money for a made-to-measure damx cag a few years back. As a student I was after something robust, rather than breathable or pretty (can a cag really be pretty?!). Not sure what his prices are like now, but for something that won't fall apart or delaminate, they are worth a look.

Hey, I had my kingpin out for the fist time this season and I am definitely too tall for it (seats way back, making it unbalanced). Just wondering if anyone's got anything more suitable for a tall, big footed, but light individual, something like a superstar (mk 2), the big rad, large project maybe,...
