Thanks.

The river isn't all that scary, Lyndon sent a cracking dive off the viewing platform this summer. :D

Re: Access and facility charging at Canolfan Tryweryn

CIWW - Cost to me: £17 for a day on an overcrowded course plus have to waste half an hour filling out forms in triplicate every time I go with the exact same information that I entered last year and have to pay £5 for the privilege of doing so. Not worth the hassle or expense. Do you go to Lee Vall...

Is that following correct constitutional process, to deny a motion which has been submitted for inclusion adhering to full protocol?

So, it turns out, that Midweek bragging isn't fair game. But to mark the anniversary of Summer Steezy levels to the day, I give you Yesterday's Upper Dart levels for laps. Another day, catching the peak flows. (Smug face) https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/21231922_10159238512565153_74461...

Re: Kayak Language

I am not trying to be poetic, though that would be a benefit, nor saying that we cannot write a guide but that there simply is not a language created by Kayakers. No, you are correct. 'We' do not have words to describe our features. Every time another paddler has told me of a river, I was left thin...

Re: Kayak Language

However it seems to me that we Kayakers do not have much of a language to use to describe our experiences. Guilty. I also wish there were ways to describe rivers, it's just; eddy, stopper, eddy, stopper, rapid named ego, eddy, stopper narrative. That's all it's ever been. Well there was a time when...

Re: Locking up a Kayak

I'd not be happy leaving my boat and kit on some inner city canal locations! For that I'd ask at a boat yard, club house, or somewhere with people around. Maybe a pub garden, pop in a lunch, then go get the car after refueling.

Have used vinyl on paddles for years. Use a hot air gun to seal it on and then edge wrap with insulation tape.

Choice nowadays is really good. Take the pile of demo boats at Canoe + Kayak Store at Cardiff and there is lots of variety of boats, not just creekers.
