Took a Machno last spring to a bunch of new (to me) rivers on the German/Austrian border. Paddled possibly the hardest river I've done for some time, and the Machno did not put a foot wrong. The Alps is a big place. The whole of the alps isn't generally shut, just regions. If regions are closed by the authorities, find rivers out of the area to paddle. Or spend a couple of days doing non boating activities whilst the levels calm. And help the raft companies clearing rivers. Or just drin...
