'Call the Coastguard' car window stickers

Anyone any idea where to get the window stickers (helicopter, call 999, etc - white background, about 30 cm long)?

My last one has given up the ghost.

Thanks,

Karitek ELRR for van for sale

I have just taken the rack off my pre-2015 Renault Trafic.

I'm not selling the J cradles, but everything else is available. It is 8 yrs old but everything is perfectly serviceable.

Looking for £350. (The rack is in Oban.)

Re: Carrying flares

Just to chase a bunny down a side hole in this warren - I can't speak from experience with Calmac ferries, but having booked to go to Orkney this summer with Northlink Ferries, I contacted them about carrying my flares on board. I have to fill in a form and give them 24 hrs notice - that's all. Rowl...

Re: Carrying flares

Just a thought, but one man (even Gordon) having a bad evening in the office with cold hands doesn't equate to 'all pyro is dangerous'. I've fired a fair few (high, low, red, orange, illum, smoke and pinpoint) in adverse circumstances (not all in a paddling environment) and not had a drama yet. I'll...

Re: Knives

In my over 50 years of paddling, I've had occasion to use a knife in anger (a hurry!) four times - two towlines, a deckline and a bow toggle loop - when the aforementioned had decided to weld two or more boats together in circumstances not conducive to unpicking Gordian knots. A blunt tipped Race Re...

FS - WRSI Trident Composite Helmet

L/XL Trident Composite helmet, worn 3 times, undamaged. £125 new, will take £65. Colour is 'Very Berry'...

(Being sold because in all honesty 'Very Berry' really ought to be 'VERY PINK!' I wanted to stand out.... but not that much!) (Not a purchase for the shy, retiring paddler...!)

Outstanding service from Olympus

Just thought I'd comment on the service from Olympus after I managed to drown my TG-4 recently. Somewhere/somehow the input/output door opened whilst the camera was in my BA (whether on the sea or in the post-session dunk, I do not know). A full day later I found my camera to be FULL of water. Seale...

Re: Is this worth it to avoid a serious Bolli@&%£$

Far cheaper and does the thing you actually need - provided your wife has access to email via some device - is a SPoT locator. Nigh on worldwide coverage and reliable. Used it to 'report in' going around GB, and there were many places where the alternatives of VHF and phone (regardless of SIM card v...

Re: Map Case recommondations?

To Kirsten - Axel pack, unreservedly. To Allan - modify the Axel pack by taking off the clips and putting about 9 inches of cord between the end of the tube and the clip. The clips go 'forward'. Then modify your deck rigging by rethreading the decklines in the 'chart deck' area, leaving out the 'sec...

Re: Which buoyancy aid?

Morning Mike, Having worn a few in my time, I can definitely say that the Kokatat Poseidon is the most comfortable and unrestrictive for me. And it has enough pockets and add-ons to keep anyone happy! It will carry what you list - and more - with ease. I think the nearest kayak gear shops to ...

Re: Wanted - Large pyranha fusion

Hi, I have a Fusion in very good condition sitting doing nothing (stored under cover). Some scratches on the bottom but nothing dramatic. Although I would prefer more than £300, I would let it go for that rather than see it seeing around not being used. All original fittings; yellow/splodge colour. ...

For Sale - VSK Sirona 16.1 RM

Valley Sirona 16.1 RM, red. Some cosmetic markings (the boat travelled on the deck of a mother ship to St Kilda) but has no 'damage' and the boat is sound and dry with everything working properly. A deck-mounted towing system is fitted and included in the price of £850. The boat is near Oban but mos...

Re: 4* out. 'Paddlesport leader' in.

I can't help thinking that it would a lot more logical to have a Star Awards 1-5 system based purely on personal paddling and skills in the appropriate grades of water, weather and conditions, with Leadership Awards (Basic, Moderate, Advanced?) as separate bolt-ons. Lots of people I know want the kn...

Re: SAGA – XP18 - ad infinitum

This might sound slightly weird, but a possible solution would be to cut another hatch hole (think the size of a K1/K2 steering access hatch - about 75/100 mm diameter IIRC) and access the underside of the stern deck that way. Afterwards either do a neat repair and then camouflage your work (that's ...
