Re: Nordkapp Forti bilge pump storage

Thanks for the dimensions. Yes, concerned about the carry weight. The elastic loops or straps affixed to the underside of the deck seem to be my best option. I prefer to stick w/a portable hand held bilge pump as my girlfriend (and others) also use my pump as she forgets to bring hers along on trips...

Thanks Dave! That's what I was thinking also. I'll fashion up some sort of elastic loops also.

Re: Nordkapp Forti bilge pump storage

My seat is all the way back so I can't fit anything behind my back band. Also, my pump is too long to fit cross-wise in the kayak. Re: Nordkapp Forti bilge pump storage

Thanks for the reply. That's the area that I've been thinking about trying out as it's about my only option. I'll give it a try to see if I have enough leg clearance.

Nordkapp Forti bilge pump storage

Hello all! Long time lurker here from the states. I've been the proud owner of a Nordkapp Forti and a Nordkapp RM for several years now. Where do owners of any of the newer fiberglass Valley kayaks store their hand held bilge pump? With the front day pod, there's not enough room to velcro it under t...

Re: Layering Q

The Devold stuff looks great. I'm going to have to see if anyone in the states carries it. I agree w/you regarding the fish net stuff from Brynje - definitely fetish looking - not that that's a bad thing ;-)

Layering Q

Hello all! Long time lurker here from the states. Thanks to everyone for providing great advice, tips and reading (and some interesting new words/phrases). What do folks wear under their drysuits for cold weather paddling? I have the Reed fleece tops and bottoms which are fantastic (the dogs danglie...
