Re: River Ashop Video

So I'm curious (having grown up as a local there). I would have though the Alport would be a decent run (Though at a harder level) when there's that much rain. No that bad a hike in, there's a decent path, and I recall a river bed that should make for an interesting run. Anyone got first hand exper...

Re: River Ashop Video

[vimeo]https://vimeo.com/147500829[/vimeo] I was there with a couple of Sheffield Uni guys the same day but on the upper section. One of our guys swam and ended up helping you at the barrage! The extra pair of hands was useful, we would have struggled otherwise (even with a 9:1 mechanical advantage...

Not got one yet but Prijon do them, couldn't find any listed on there website so emailed them. They quoted €25 for the nose cone, €15 for shipping and €9.50 for the glue.

Prijon Nose Cone

Has anyone replaced a nose cone on a Prijon boat? I've cracked the cone on my Pure and and am wondering how easy a job it is.

French Alps Snow Pack

I'm running our uni Alps trip this year and was just wondering how much snow there is at the moment? I know the early season was pretty rubbish in terms of snow but hadn't heard anything more recently (I'm also aware the temperature at the time affects the levels a lot but wanted some idea of what t...

Re: If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

My uni club (Manchester) quite often do 'booty beers' after a trip, but its always optional and there is never any peer pressure involved. I see it as a bit of harmless fun which only brings the group closer together! Recently we've introduced 'swim confessions' which take the form of an AA meeting ...

AT Advanced Series Paddles

I'm in the market for a new paddle and have been looking at the new Advanced Series range from AT. They look really good but not seen anyone over here with them yet, has anyone had any experience with them?

Off the top of my head: Cwm Llan, Aberglaslyn Gorge, Uper Swale, Upper Tees and the Dee are all doable without a shuttle.

Tried that over new years, the long flat section between Low Force and the Racecourse section means its not really worth doing unless it's at massive levels.

But if no law is being broken by paddling on the river then how could an injunction be placed to prevent people taking clients there?

What is an injunction and why wouldn't you be able to paddle under one?

Re: Quastion on current access problems, North Wales?

To clarify something else, who is actually allowed to request or order a paddler or a paddling group to get off the water? Is it only EA bailiffs with ID cards, and members of the police force? Can non-EA bailiffs can be politely ignored? The EA only controls navigation on waterways where it is the...
