Re: Flat landing drops

I've landed right angle flat several times with a flat bottomed boat and had no problems, landed another waterfall flat in a nomad and my l2 vertebrae decided it didn't like being in one piece anymore. The boat might make a difference all things being equal, but I'd probably go for technique over bo...

Nookie Shock/latex spray deck.

Large waist, big deck. Suit most pyranha boats.
Pretty much brand new, couple of years old but not really used - can't find anything wrong with it.
£35 posted. £30 if you want to pick it up from Birmingham or Nottingham.

Re: Has anyone 'Never' swum?

Swimming's under rated! I managed a couple of years sans OBE, then swum once and haven't really stopped since! I feel a good ratio is 1:1 to rivers paddled.

Re: Insurance for non-members (newbies) at pool sessions

It's not referenced in the official policy document, but it's clearly on the Perkins Slade BCU site, which is linked from the BCU site as being valid for all home nation members and affiliated clubs apart from Wales. Are non-members covered by the policy for ‘taster’ sessions? Individuals who may be...

Next time you paddle with the kids, the other Chris (M) wears them. Seems like he makes them work..... you could ask him? I'd give oakley water jackets ago, if the worst of it's water splashing in to your eyes, that should help, no? Cos we all know you never spend any time upside down ;-) Remember h...

Re: Lee Valley Booking Fees

I don't get it. You see this all the time now, companies looking to pass on their cost of doing business and putting a quick buck on. 40% is a bit much and it's worse when some companies (like the DVLA - a govt dept) charge up to £5 for a credit card! Realistically, at 3% for a credit card a £5 purc...

Seals Pro Rand for me, best deck i've ever had. Yes it can be a bit tough to get on due to the rand but it's watertight when on.

Re: FS: Zet Raptor

Hi Ian, I can take one, but the outfitting is pretty good, as mentioned it's not really seen much use. Everything's all there as it should be no tears etc it's in decent nick. Not much to go wrong with the outfitting on these boats though, it's basic which means there's not a lot that can break. Che...

Re: Thoughts Please- LL Hoss weight range

You'll be fine - I paddled one happily for a couple of years, my weight ranged from 85ish to 90ish kgs, and I carried a lot less kit in the boat then. Bottom of the weight range is good (IMO).

If doing it that way, advice would be not to use 2 heavy caribenas ...
