Kayak wall storage ideas

I'm going to be storing my boats vertically mounted against a wall in my garage (hull or cockpit to the wall, not sideways). My basic idea is to put some eyebolts in the wall and use some old straps/elastic/whatever is lying around to tie them in place. Question is, does anyone have any other good i...

Ok, I'll try and help him figure something out. In the meanwhile, the cameraman's description of the river is:- "The De Lank river; I really enjoyed the paddle, but you need to see it to believe it. When you get past the the trees and the deepest darkest trek of a portage, that takes you through onl...

Re: Artistic Gear

I've got the Aveto drysuit; as mentioned by Wenley I agree the quality and cut are not as good as Palm. After a year of moderate use with one WW trip to NZ the suit has severely degraded inside in a number of places including in the crotch where at material completely delaminated. When I can afford ...

Re: Pyranha H3 pinned on Upper Dart

Blades recovered thanks; also the boat has been recovered from the rock in a very bad shape. Only the Robson paddles outstanding - we found them and lost them again; we believe them to be underwater in the pools below the 'L' shaped drop just above Euthanasia. Anyone finding them please call the num...

Thanks; everyone was safe with some sensible calls by those involved. It was one of those days where nothing seemed to go right but apart from one boat and the blades everything was found!!

Re: Getting to the Dart

Thanks guys. Forgot to mention, the walk up took about 3h 15m and the paddle down took about 1h 40m back down despite the low level. At points we were battling through waist high drifts and ended up crawling on hands and knees to spread the weight. With a pair of walking poles between us we opted fo...

I wear the 5:10 as well - got the mk1s and they have lasted brilliantly; either wearing them barefoot of over a drysuit with thermal socks inside they seem to be able to shrink for expand to fit both!

Re: RIVER PLYM (Cadover Bridge to Shaugh Bridge)

There is a significant tree across little harbour. This rapid is 3 upsteam of the Dewerstone, where you need to make a small eddy on the left so you can see down the blocked channel. Extreme care is needed on the approach to this eddy. I think we moved that one today; we dragged it across to river l...

Canyon Gear make custom bags, just a thought It wouldn't be worth the cost for a plastic boat unless you were specifically protecting a posh car. Plus I think it would be almost a waste of Delia Ellards time when she could be making covers for glass boats which do need protection... Nice touch if y...
