Re: River Taff Cardiff

Yeah from blackweir down into the bay is controlled by the harbour authority. They require that you sign in with them, and pay a launching fee (or at least they did last time I used the water) which can be done at channel view leisure centre. A good spot for flat water is the taff above radyr weir,...

Re: Argument for a bright helmet.

Remind me then how many people have died from wearing a black helmet? It's on par with cutting your grab loop as it may be a snag hazard. I can't say I know the exact figure you're looking for. However I imagine a lot of people could of been spotted earlier/ more easily during pins/swims etc if the...

Except in emergency, paddling is only allowed in a downstream direction and obstructions such as weirs must be passed without delay in order to minimise disturbance of migrating fish. Straight from the rule book. So am I right in assuming this includes Moristom Weir? I though tat was within the tid...

Re: TAWE HASSLE.

We own or control most of the fishing in the River Tawe from Ynysmeudwy downstream to Morriston. We intend to allow canoeing members to use those waters where we are the owners or where riparian owners have given us permission to allow canoeing. It would seem that they may not own as much as they w...

Having had laser eye, and it being the best thing I ever did, I would say you only have one pair of eyes and an infection could be disastrous. 4 Weeks would be the minimum I would leave it 6 or wear goggles after the 4 weeks. Be careful with goggles if you are having a corneal flap cut as this can t...

They can't, the same as we can't cross their land for access without committing trespass.

I have lost the ability to paddle, not much of an excuse but used by me on the weekend all the same.

Followed up by I almost drowned.

And the boat just wouldn't do as it was told.

Then "I hate CIWW as the omnifloats chase me from top to bottom"

And yes CiWW!! The shame :(

And to top things off they have a waiting list at Bridgend Canoe club for people to use the river?
