Spray deck sizes

I've recently bought a Wavesport Möbius 65 and I'm looking at a new spraydeck does anyone know if a Palm sized R4 will fit it from what I can gather it's at it's upper size range of the r4 so if anyone has anyone actual experience your help would be really appreciated.

Riot Kayaks

So possibly foolishly a wave of nostalgia has come over me so I'm on the hunt for a few kayaks that I wish I still had, I know not necessarily the best boats ever made however I had a lot of fun in them back in the day. I'm looking for a Tekno, Air and an Astro. If anyone has one that they no longer...

Kayak plastic, repairing a cracked hull

I cracked the hull of one of my old riot boats recently and wanted to try and put a patch on the inside of the boat to try and seal it is there any particular type of plastic that's readily available that people would recommend or does anyone have any suggestions about the best way to repair the cra...

Re: Ardeche river levels

Had forgotten a lot of the amazing Ardeche facts from PGL, lama racing and FILA - Federation of International Lama Athletics and of course the fact the the Ardeche is a loop we had equally ridiculous stories in during the couple of seasons I did in Wales but 2000 at Le Mas was a good one!!

Re: Playboats and creekers...

I found this on http://www.kayaktohell.com site and it pretty much defines the progession of kayak development in the last 17 years, personally I'm happy that although new design hasn't stopped it has reached a point that I don't feel the need to change my boat anywhere near as often as I used to ha...

Re: What's missing?

I have to admit I haven't read this thread in its enitireity so if its already been mentioned then I apologise, however being the UK rivers guidebook I'm feeling N.I. is missing. I can't be the only paddler from Northern Ireland on here and I'd certainly be happy to write up a few guides and if ther...

Re: Sweet Protection Bargains...

I ordered a helmet and a couple of hats they all arrived within 10 days, however one of the hats was faulty so got in touch with them and asked what I should do they told me not to worry about returning the faulty item (it wasn't to bad just some missing/unfinished stitching) and they sent out a rep...

Selling people's images?

If this has been covered elsewhere I apologise, I hoped someone on here would be able to help me out with a question. If there's someone at your local playspot for example and their getting loads of photos of the people on the water with the plan to then sell these images on, I had wondered if the p...

Re: Rolling - transitioning from flatwater to rapids

I feel that out of all the advice that's been given on here so far the bit that I wish I had when I learnt to roll was to develop a confident roll on both sides. I started paddling over 20 years ago in Northern Ireland when pool sessions just didn't happen so I learnt in cold water so just trying to...

I'd vote for a Suunto myself, ive had mine for about 8 years and it's never let me down, I use a Metron however I'd suggest looking at the range as there are a lot a available especially if you do other sports skiing, mtn biking etc they have the ability to connect to your computer and show your rep...

Re: Catastrophic flood on Seti river Nepal

If you did find yourself in such a horrendous position on the river what would plan of action be? Obviously there wouldn't be a huge amount of warning other than the noise of the water coming down behind you any thoughts? My condolensces go out to all that have been affected.

Re: It's official (-ly dry)

That would make a little more sense to me, although we have had a few days of heavy rain at once other than that its been pretty dry. Although my boat and board would probably have been in the surf anyway (well if you had those waves 25mins from your front door you would too)!!

Re: It's official (-ly dry)

Unfortunatly although its showing that Northern Ireland had more than average rainfall that hasn't really helped the kayaking issue as it all came at once so we had 1 day of excellent levels in the steeper creeks which are normally surrounded by peat bogs so the levels only last a day max and the ot...

Re: New website dedicated to soloing

I think maybe the comment comapring the risks with solo climbing is that climbing solo is a lot more common place and generally less frowned upon, being active with both communities that's the impression that I get.

Re: Tiny playboat for flatwater?

I can't quite believe that the Perception Jib hasn't been mentioned yet at that size I'd have thought a great little cheap boat for flatwater play all be it learning cartwheeling, stalling etc. I was considerably bigger when I last forced my way into one and had a blast. A boat doesn't have to be ne...
