Jackson Superstar 2010 £375

Jackson Superstar 2010 kayak / Playboat. IMHO the best and most versatile of the Jackson Star series of boats in my opinion. Owned from new in 2010 and it is in great all round condition. Not been paddled in about 4 years! Would suit the medium to larger paddler. Some specs online here: http://jacks...

Tiderace Xplore M - in Hardcore layup

Thinking of reluctantly replacing/selling my Tiderace Xplore M. Fantastic kayak in great all round condition but I’m struggling with comfort due to a leg/back problem. Will be in Anglesey weekend of 1st-3rd June if anyone wants to view or test paddle. £1650.

Ace of Spades...feedback

Back paddling after a bit of a gap and in need of a river runner/ creeker. Was set on a Mamba but at 5'10 & 77kg the medium 8.1 feels a tad small and the large 8.6 too much boat. The Ace of spades looks a similar design of boat in between the two mamba sizes. Don't seem to be many about, so perhaps ...

Zet Raptor for sale (N.Wales) £500

Yellow. Very good condition. It's been locked away in the garage now for 2 years without seeing the water. Had about 18 months of light use before that.

£500. Based near Holywell North Wales.

Re: Rockpool Taran (full size) vs Tiderace Pace 17^

To hijack this thread with a random question. Does anyone know if the Pace 17's specified length of 522cm takes account of the rudder? I am considering a Pace 17, my storage space will fit 529cm so it could be a tad tight.

Pyranha Speeder for Sale - £350

This is just not getting much use and an impending house move means I need to downside my boat collection.

It's the rapid Spec, blue and white. Great condition only used on flat water. Great fitness and training kayak. I'm based in North Wales near Wrexham.

£350 No offers .

Re: Vertical Knee Position

I have a fashioned a customised block of foam in the centre of my bulkhead (between the footpegs) to allow more 'push' when switching to a central knees up position. I tend to switch to the standard locked-in position when things get lumpy. Loved my old Alaw for the very obvious high knee position. ...

Hadn't realised there was a Pace 17. Could be an even better option. Especially if the cockpit ergonomics are similar to the xplore. Will certainly arrange a demo.

Tiderace Xplore M & L (Differences)

I'm looking to change to an Xplore within a few weeks (having paddled an NDK Explorer HV up to now). I will try and demo both but before doing so are there any pronounced or notable differences between the two. Particularly in terms of speed. I like the idea of the medium for the wholly practical re...

The Eddystone Challenge is definitely on my list for 2014.

An Irish Sea crossing is an obvious contender with distance options available to suit a range of ambition/ability.

Re: What car for a paddling vehicle?

I keep pondering buying another car for my paddling I'm own a fiat Seicento can fit 4 kayaks on it at a push but usually carry 3 to the Lee Valley sessions. It isn't fast but cruises at 70 but the great pro is you can park it in many small spaces that helps when your paddling rivers with poor parki...

Re: I wonder how many canoeists ...

I've never paddled a man made course other than Treweryn. I'm sure many would see the T as more akin to a natural river than an artificial course. Admittedly its dam released with plenty modifications, but It's to me it paddles more like a natural river. Suppose technically its a man made 'course' ...

Re: Another kayaker decides not to run a waterfall

Though not the first time anyone has decided to not fling themselves off Angel Falls, no other records could be located1 of a specific, public decision and declaration not to commit the deed, likely making this the most significant, documented first non-descent in paddlesports history
