Pyranha S:6 200 for £220
Pyranha S:6 200 for sale. Fantastic condition - barely used by first owner, ours hardly used too. Worst scratch highlighted, as you can see its nothing really. Collection preferred from Dunblane, but could deliver with some patience around central belt further north as I travel for work. matt_outand...

Re: Looking for a kayak for a young child
I would really suggest am InaZone 212. It's a properly nice handling mini boat. It seemed much less prone to rear deck catches than a friends Rebel, but that may be a technique thing too. We loved ours, and moved kids up through various InaZone's https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5614/15320930709_05779...

Inazone 232 + Werner paddle
Inazone 232 with club with club outfitting, in good condition. A great first boat - we have had three Inazone's as the kids grow bigger, and they are stable, responsive and comfortable boats. They also seem to surf quite well.... :) Looking for £130 for the boat. We also have: a purple Werner - not ...

Re: To the numpty...
Sadly I see it all the time now - any slow traffic and someone is out texting on phone. I have a Galaxy and so am higher up, looking down onto people who have them on their laps typically. .You notice it even more when cycling in town. It just struck me that having the paddling stickers (one was a f...

... In the red Vivaro van with sea kayak and Kokotat stickers on, on M74 at Hamilton today. Stop bloody using your phone to text on a motorway. You were alongside and behind for five minutes or more, and the whole time you had your phone in the air and clearly online or texting. So engrossed you did...

Kids Inazone 212 - £160 with paddle and kit
This is a cracking little boat that our kids have loved having - but the smallest is a (tall) 10 year old with size 5 feet, and are just too big for it now. It is so good we picked up the next size up for them... Inazone 212, with Ainsworth paddle, my old PeakUK deck (keyhole, big waist, so not grea...

Re: Pyranha Inazone 232
We have two (a 212 and 232) for the kids. Great boats, responsive, pretty quick and great alround river boats. As you learn, they won't be the thing that holds you back, it will be your skill and confidence levels. I don't think they are any worse for catching back deck than many river runners such ...

Re: SCA/BCU/Towergate Insurance
That is my plan, to get it in writing. Interestingly, they could not still confirm one way or another for the initial policy, and only when pushed agreed that if we added clarity via an addendum in writing would they cover locked outside. Having had (many years ago) an insurer who 'covered cycles in...

Progress
Another phone call - Towergate will add an addendum to any policy (at policy owners request) to confirm the insurer knows the boat is locked outside - and is covered for theft and damage.

Re: SCA/BCU/Towergate Insurance
Sorry folks, you are missing the point - my mistake cutting and pasted did not help! Q. What cover is provided for canoes when they are not in use? A. Full cover, as long as the canoe is stored in a locked building. Craft stored in theopen are not covered for theft. I am more than happy (and already...

SCA/BCU/Towergate Insurance
Hello all I asked over on SoTP, but perhaps someone on here could help answer... I need to insure some boats, but Towergate have inconsistencies in their documents, and a phone call and email have not led to an answer from them! Will they insure boats stored outside? Has anyone had experience of cla...

You didn't inspect carefully then!
Hidden at Gallin is a series of grade3-4 drops, over about 400m, ending in the weir marked on OS maps.
In higher water it is ace, and reminds me of triple falls on Etive.

30cm waist Skinny lad then.... Don't buy a boat until you have had a few weeks out in them - on flat and moving water. Even then, I would buy cheaper than that, with the idea that if you really get into it and *need* a boat, you will choose one that is well suited, rather than a guess from some str...

WTD: WW paddle, small helmet, airbags
Decent paddle, RH, around 195-205 in length (I am 6', shortish arms),£50-80max. I also need a helmet for my 12 year old son - smallish head, likely S-M. His money, so needs to be good value! Airbags - two sets, one for BigDog creek boat and one set for sons Inazone. I also need a trio of canoe paddl...

For what it is worth, I don't think those bars would hold in properly in an emergency stop or accident. A canoe heading off the front of your vehicle, into vehicle/pedestrian just doesn't bear thinking about.

The falls vary massively with volume - low and high levels being unpleasant. I lived overlooking the falls for 6 years, and in that time saw two unpleasant down times in the main fall. Please exercise caution here, and the larger drop below again. EUCC doing it at a great level. https://www.flickr.c...
