Re: New access charge for the Dee???

Your title is a bit mis leading. I have paddled the mill for about 20 years there has always been a per person fee to use the facilities[/u][/b ]. Please don't bleat. It is not that long ago there were and possibly still are threats to the facility and people were up in arms. The current user is doi...

River Ribble levels

Hi Paddlers. Is there anyone who can give me an update on paddleable levels for the Ribble, Clitheroe to Ribchester. I have not paddled it for about 10years and technology has changed so knowing which gauges to check and appropriate levels would save pointless journeys. Low and High would be good pa...

River DeeLlangollen to Trevor Rocks

Trees Down.
At a point near Ddol Isaf OS map ref 256 411

There are two trees down the first on river left about 3/4 across the river. The second about 500 metres further on on River Right. Both are easy to get past but at high waters could be a problem.

Re: Netherton Tunnel, Black Country

Enjoy. I understand it is a great paddle. So I am told not that I would ever admit to having paddled it!!! When do we think CART will review their policy as it is possible to see both ends and with good lights and methods of audible warning there should be no reason for not allowing organised groups...

I have just seen this post while sitting down with a glass of wine after our canoe club night ( deva canoe club) paddle down the Dee from Eccleston to Chester. There are no problems on this section. Though check the tides are not going to be against you and the level is within your skill levels. App...

I will nail my colours to the mast I am a regular paddler on all rivers. I have been sworn at and intimidated. I have been thrown at. I have been subject to damage to vehicles. I am aware of the access situation and interpretations. I am also a retired Police officer. I feel I can see this from both...

Thanks for the comments very helpful.

Another medical question. I had surgery on my hand Wednesday and am sat with my hand in plaster watching river levels with envy. I had the treatment for dupetrons costricture to ring and middle fingers, I am sure not the first. Any hints on how long to paddle again would be welcome to keep me sane!!...

I picked up on this while browsing. I assume canoe wales will be represented.

It could impact on paddlers if we are not in at the start.

Persuade your club to buy a couple of open canoes and kit as a starter. You will then find people will come out of the woodwork who have or would like to open canoe.
I speak as a Kayaker who open boats for fun and relaxation yes even on gd 3 waters!!!!

Have you ever paddled a river and found yourself between a rock and a hard place?
Now put yourself in the Environment agency!!!
Read their comments. They appear to be trying to remain neutral and be all things to all people.
