Liquid logic Vision 56 Big foot

Sensible offers please I bought it second hand but hardly have time to kayak and only really ever creek so this has never been used by me! I paddled a space-cadet C1 for years and regretted selling it, but this was the closest replacement I could get, I just never got around to converting it! Collec...

Trying to find my old C1 space cadet. Orange +big pink fixes

Hi All, Purely for reasons of nostalgia I am trying to track down my space cadet. It has probably long gone to the boat shed in the sky but if not then it'd be great to locate it! It's orange with two massive pink repairs on it, one in the tail and one around the cockpit and at the time was set up a...

Re: C1 Jefe £175

Hi Rich,

I used to live right next to Hope Cove but now live in Bovey Tracey so just off the A38.
Three welds are on the bottom, I will try and sort photos asap but can't promise it will be before the weekend!

C1 Jefe £175

C1 jefe, lots of welds (3!) and covered in flashband gunk but perfect for learning C1. I've used it on the loop and its perfectly watertight. Saddle is in, needs a dashboard building (as I don't have time) but I'll include a whole load of foam (no I will not sell this separately) No straps but will ...

Re: C1 Roll

Backdeck rolls usually happen pretty quickly, mostly as a recovery technique....you don't set up for this so use whichever face of the paddle happens to be presented to the water... I concur with this, I normally only backdeck in a rush, after washing off a wave (or hitting an eddy line wrong :-D )...

Re: Countryfile - Paddlers saving livestock

Just don't attempt it on the Dulas in Mid-Wales, pulled a freezing cold sheep out of the river then got chastised by the farmer for trespassing on his land after walking up to tell him about it!

Re: 9' bilbo expoxy longboard (surfboard)

Hi Dave,

Ummm I'll have a measure at the weekend! Sorry I'm not really a surfer so I don't know off hand!
I don't think posting would be possible but I could possibly meet 1/2 way etc depending on time / petrol contribution!

Wanted- Space Cadet

After trying an array of different boats as C1 I find myself drawn back to 'old faithfull' so if anyone has a space cadet they are parting with please let me know! Splits and cracks are not a problem.

wtd: Riot ratchet thigh braces

Hi,

A long shot I know but if anyone has a pair of the old-skool riot ratchet thigh braces I am after a couple of sets!

Many thanks

Re: Lap belts

My two cents! I use riot thigh braces in my C1 but I have used them in an all star. Firstly, the all star has the round stiffner running the length of the boat which is PERFECT for attaching straps to! All you need is some 50mm webbing which you can thread under the stringer (hull stiffner) to attac...

Just my 2 cents, that wheelboy is a great beginner- mid range C1 boat ESPECIALLY without their heavy heavy saddle in it and a bargain at that price!

*edit, in fact if he doesn't take it then drop me a PM please ;)

WTD knackered creeker / river boat

Hi All,

I'm after a beat up old creeker, pref a planing hull i.e. h3, thunder, that kind of thing!
Cheaper the better so any splits or cracks are fine!
I am based in Devon so up to Bristol would be good, maybe a bit father afield for the right thing!

Cash waiting.

Cheers,

Adam

Re: CFS for C1 conversion

HI,

Personally I don't rate displacement hull boats for conversion due to the instability!

From what I can remember (been a while since I've seen a CFS) its probably one of the roundest hulls out there on a creeker?

If you have one lying around and £45 for foam then why not try it?!?!

Re: Has anyone converted an S6 to C1?

Pyranha should be able to sort you out with a new stringer for £25 or so.
If not then just use a paint-roller extension pole from B&Q (£3)
